Chester Fan- I come in peace. First- really enjoyed the game on Saturday with 2 teams trying to play football on the deck. You have other options available with the pace and size of Blisset and mixed it up well. We had 2 small quick strikers so the long ball was not an option until we made subs in the last 15 minutes. Of course you are all disappointed by the result, especially after leading 2-0 and yes you should have shut up shop better but stop beating yourselves up- there were loads of positives..... First, a decent following for such a long journey although both sets of fans seemed a bit quiet until you scored your second. The ground acoustics don't help much but if you can get behind the team the way you did at 2-0 you will give your side a real lift. That was probably the loudest away following since we reformed. Second- the boy Blisset looks a bit raw but was a real handful. Third- Matty Taylor. Seen loads of comments on here slagging him off but I'd have him back tomorrow. He needs a regular place and he'll bag you goals. Outstanding player at this level (and this is where you are for now )- remains to be seen how he does when you go back into the football league. Fourth- LDV. Caused us loads of problems although he was playing against a centre half covering at full back. Fifth- I don't think you lost the lead because of the substitutions. It looked like you ran out of steam. You had players blowing a bit and we took advantage. I think we'd have done the same at 2-0 and took off an attacking player for someone more defensive. Sixth- don't think the conference premier is a far inferior league to league 2. I've seen league two with Chester City and I've seen the Evostik North, Evostik premier and the conference North divisions. I think the big step up/ down is between the conference North and the Conference Premier. Don't get hung up on not being runaway leaders. You've had to rebuild and start again. With the size of your crowds you will be able to get the best players at this level (you can't have Kingsley James though:) Seventh: Bar our dominant 10 minutes your defence looked really solid. Eighth: Be happy you don't play with a team of 6ft 4 ins players and play hoofball. Plenty in this league do and its wins games. Personally I hate watching it. You have a team of footballers. Finally: You met us in the best form we've been in for 2 years. We walked the lower division where our crowds of 2500 to 3000 dwarfed the opposition. Last year we should have been relegated but for Hereford's problems. Steve Burr our manager knows this division. He's built a team playing his way and keeping it on the deck. We got battered 5-0 at home on the first day of the season and he stuck by his beliefs. He nearly lost the faith of the fans as we lost the next 3 home games too but its slowly coming round and its a pleasure to watch now, win lose or draw. Stick with your manager. Don't give him forever but at least give him this season to turn it around. If he's not up to it then, find someone who is (except Steve Burr:) Good luck for the rest of the season Woolston Blue CTID Great post. Fascinating to read this. Endless criticism of our 'hoofball' on here. Were we so different on Saturday or are we just too harsh on our team usually?

Third? Matty Taylor has had a regular place. And has regularly missed straightforward chances. He is crap. Take him back.

2 wins in the last 10 league games is, sadly, not even Play Off forum. Apart from a one month blip DC been useless since he took over from JW.
If we fail to beat Barnet on Tuesday I'd hand DC is P45 on Wednesday morning as we will have lost any chance of winning the Championship.
DC proved what a clown is by going public on Easter when it was clear we had no chance of Millwall letting join us seeing as he played for them today. 2 wins in the last 10 league games is, sadly, not even Play Off forum. I've been disappointed with performances of late but wouldn't want to sack Clarke as he is doing an alright job overall. This gave me a chuckle.

Going on recent threads that have been dragged up from the depths of last year I'd be inclined to say hell no!
