Now here’s one for you - can you imagine a new stadium built in Clifton?
it’s just been announced that Bristol Zoo at Clifton is being closed and the land sold. The people who run the zoo are relocating to The Wild Place near Cribbs Causeway. So, plenty of land that could accommodate both stadium and a fair size car park!
it could never happen of course, but who knows!
All comments on this is going to make very interesting reading.

No chance, that land will be way too expensive.

Funnily enough I was just looking at the map to see if it was feasible. However the chances of the council agreeing it would be zero given their previous level of support.

Its already been planned for low impact housing in existing buildings with the gardens remaining largely unchanged.... So that'll be Bristol's first £2m 1 bedroom flat then....

Wrong place, parking and access issues and too expensive I'd have thought, size wise UWE and the Fruit Market sites are roughly 11 acres.

Don’t know about the Fruit Market site, but the UWE site was listed as 20.55 acres in the planning documents, although that includes the large car park.

Don’t we need a large crowd for a large car park.....🤔

You may well be right, I was basing UWE on a plan I googled some time ago and the Fruit Market on a Post article. If the poster who suggested the waste sites are bought too then that would add extra land anyway.

No chance, that land will be way too expensive. 12 prime acres of Clifton land.... must be worth absolutely millions . 200 m ?
