The QPR players only did it because of Millwall fans being racist previously.
Not hard to fathom that...... Is it?
It was the epitome of a meaningful gesture lol.

I know what I know. But Gastafari it is you that is making the assertion. So, rather than tell me what I know, how about linking to the evidence that backs up your assertion. Specifically in relation to people of Chinese and Indian Sub Continent ethnicity. Because I don't need to post a link. We've spoke about this on the George Floyd thread. Eastern Asians and of Indian origins top the Median income tables. Its the same here in the UK. They are the highest average earners. These are facts Oldie. They're readily available from Census bureau's and the like. Go and look for yourself. Its also interesting that certain nationalities that fall under the "Black" category are also some of the highest average earners. I.e of Nigerian descent. That's why I keep saying its a complex issue, and a lot to do with culture rather than race. Also why I said that people of Asian origins are seperated in these figures, but it never is when its the Black communities, they're just all lumped in together. No no, Gastafari This is your stated opinion. These statements only become factual when you can prove it. Show us the evidence. Yes we did discuss similar in the Floyd thread, but there also you make statements as fact without any corroborating evidence. So, go on.

If it was that meaningful those players would be doing it every week...but the club statement they released back in September paints a different picture of the club’s attitude to taking the knee. www.google.co.uk/amp/s/www.qpr.co.uk/news/club-news/club-statement-taking-the-knee/%3fdisplayMode=GoogleAmpThat should be the final word on it in football- Ferdinand has got it spot on there, let’s see the authorities actually get involved and take action.

The thing is most people don't see racism as a problem sadly. Until then it's going to be gestures like taking the knee, as nothing else is getting traction, in the media or politics in general. Most people seem happy in their own little world and only surface if something happens to disturb that world of theirs Seems like no one in authority wants to tackle the core problems that propagate racism & prejudices.

Yes indeed One good thing though oldie, any racist police may think twice now before acting out their twisted fantasies. Not saying all police are corrupt, but it needs to be absolutely rid of ill intent in order to be deemed fair and just.

In fact I'm absolutely certain that you already have. As ever you're just purposely being awkward towards people who don't agree with you.

You are just stating an opinion and then saying it's fact. Not being awkward, but at the moment you are acting as a shining example of what is wrong with social media. You keep telling us it's a fact, but produce no empirical evidence to back up your assertion. It matters little whether I disagree with you, because you have presented nothing to discuss, other than baseless, unsubstantiated opinion. Maybe I can nudge you. You might want to consider your opinion on the level of achievement by those of Chinese ethnicity when analysing their origins. There, an open goal.

I've given you plenty of open goals, ive named the sources for you, the Office Of National statistics and also the US Cencus Bureau. Its there in Black & White. I shouldn't have to do all of it for you. You're last statement is also pretty hypocritical, as ive mentioned this more than once, you and others don't want to analyse the origins of others in the Black communities. You just lump them all together. The fact is and yes its a fact, in the US people of Chinese descent, Filipino, Taiwanese, Japanese, Malaysian all have higher Median incomes than the average. People of Indian, Sri Lankan and Pakistani descent are also way above the average. People of Nigerian descent are also far above the national average in terms of Median income. In the UK people of Chinese and Indian descent are the highest earners, whether you want to look at the office of National Statistics, Income distribution from Gov.uk, BBC, Economic Times and plenty of other sources. Anyway this is moving miles away from the original subject. All I'm saying is that its a far more complex issue than blaming everything on race, when evidence clearly suggests that it isnt. I don't think anybody has provided any emperical evidence on this thread have they? From the very start people have been calling people racists, saying the Millwall fans booing were racist, and a lot of other stuff which is nothing more than baseless, unsubstantiated opinions. At least I've named my sources which you can go and look for yourselves.

It was a f**k YOU to the Millwall fans. That's why they did it And they’ll go home telling all their mates about how they stuck it to Millwall fans in the name of black lives via WhatsApp on their mobile phones, meanwhile a black person is being shot in the DR Congo in a civil war over natural resources used to build mobile phones for those in the West to use to pontificate about how much black lives matter to them. Rinse and repeat.

So it’s a goal celebration now? 😂 I agree gastafari - QPR stopping then starting again suggests they are using the gesture simply to wind up Millwall fans. No moral high ground for either of them, QPR stooping to Millwall’s level. The pantomime continues... You're honestly still defending Millwall fans? A club with a recent history of racist chanting? BLM may have some questionable POLTICAL agendas but like so many players have said they're showing a stance against racism, not backing de-funding police or whatever. QPR's players clearly realised that taking the knee was suddenly needed again after Saturday. How anyone can still be defending Millwall fans is very concerning. At least the Colchester owner had the balls to speak up about the booing from their fans.

Rinse and repeat. Really not sure what you're getting at here. QPR players celebrated sticking it to Millwall fans which made the BBC news page, BBC sport page (many others I'm sure) and has people talking about BLM all over the country. And you're mocking them because they did something, but not doing enough? I've never understood this part of racism, homophobia, environmentalism etc. - If someone speaks up about an issue, they get slated for not doing enough and not being 'pure' enough for the cause they're discussing. But instead of attacking that persons intentions, we should be attacking the ones who do nothing about it. Society is literally backwards.

Using it as a goal celebration to wind people up when before the match there was solidarity trivialises the issue. Read Les Ferdinand’s statement. He’s spot on when he talks about football taking proper action not making empty gestures. I agree with what he says 100%.
