Firstly I dont have a principle problem with footballers taking a knee if that's what they want to do. But I do have a problem with how flaccid and ineffectual it is. Both sides of the argument here talking like it actually matters.
If you want to make real meaningful change how about joining a political pressure group or donating some of your astronomical wages to a cause? Do something actually useful otherwise whats the point. You took a knee, great, well done, now what? Nothing. You have shown your virtue extends to kneeling down in front of a crowd.
If you really believe in it, do something more. Kneel down if you want but don't stop there surely

I expect others do as well but probably donβt shout about it . The more taken the knee is booed the more it should carry on IMO .

Kneel down if you want but don't stop there surely I dont think any reasonable person would argue with that. It has become a bit of "gesture politics" now. But, what I do not understand is why anyone would get upset enough to boo players taking part before a game, or why so many get so hot under the collar about it. This forum being a good example.

Ha ha Yes, thats how it appears to me. To stop at this point after the booing would only embolden the racists and give them the win . Letβs not beat about the bush here , itβs racists who are booing this and anyone who says otherwise is an apologist.
