Fortunately he hasn't played that often since, but I accept your point about supporting our players. I just feel we can do better We can definitely do better. He looks like an outfield player playing in goal , very awkward about everything he does. He had a very poor half. Fumbled save, poor punch, poor kicked clearances. |

Upson had another good game tonight and Kilgour looked a lot more like his old self. Walker lively and promising although faded second half. Hare, Hargreaves and Liddle did nothing to make PT sit up and take notice. Alfie better in back four than a three you think? I used to think the opposite but not sure now. Agreed with Walker, like the look of him. Good to have Jonah back, would maybe have seen minutes for Barrett also if Annsi didnt go off. |

The way this match thread has gone shows you how very poor we were in the second half. ... and also that some on here could start an argument in an empty room!! And just have! 😉 Yes bideford you’re probably right but I thought the defence weren’t bad. For all the possession Orient had in the second half Kilgour, Baldwin and Leahy and Upson just in front of them did a good job keeping them away from JVS. Orient huffed and puffed but didn’t really threaten. Mind you against a better team it may have been different. UTG! |

Thought Kilgour had a good game as did Koiki and Upson - again.
Hare gone off the boil?
Baldwin still worries me.
Interesting to see Little on bench.
Maybe best combination would be Elmer and Alfie in middle with Little at right back.
Not sure about left back - too many options

Made hard work of it in the end but a wins a win and more prize money in the pot. Hopefully Jaakkola only taken off as a precaution, JVS didnt look comfortable at all I personally dont think he's as bad as some are making out but he certainly doesn't instill the same confidence in the back 4 as Jaakkola.
Walker has done himself no harm at all tonight and positive to have Ayunga & Little fit again. All in all not a bad night's work

I thought we did OK. We were the better side until their sending off but we really went off the boil after that. Though I never thought they would score absent JVS making a howler. Hare was especially poor after the sending off. Unlike other earlier posts I thought Baldwin played well. And Hargreaves did ok, some nice ideas which didn’t come off. We missed Hanlan when he was subbed. Walker has a bright future as does Koike.
