Are you for real? I mean, did you manage to type that without having your fingers crossed? I refer you to the bungling EU fiasco, do they ever do anything differently, whereby they late-ordered the Ox vaccine and when they were told delivery would be delayed, started off bullying the manufacturer and then suspended export of the vaccine as well as suspending the NI agreement. When EU countries, notably France and Germany then refused to administer it to over 65’s because they said EU reports said it hadn’t a very reduced efficacy on that age group. They have since had to climb down and admit it does work, and work very well and are advising their elderly citizens to have the vaccine only guess what? They’ve hardly got any because the marvellous EU cocked up the procurement programme. As usual you’ve confused yourself. We’re talking about UK breaking international law, but you cannot admit that it’s wrong - despite slating the EU for the exact same thing. As usual, you’re wanting it both ways. Didn’t see your article where the EU said it doesn’t work. Can you quote it please? Or are you just exaggerating and making nonsense up again? Look forward to reading the evidence. Here’s a little snippet from the BBC NO LESS. Froggy Macron dissing it and several other EU countries have said they wouldn’t give it to elderly patients. There’s also Bild reporting the German govt weren’t going to give it to their elderly and there’s even a Guardian report where the head of the EMA was casting doubt on the vaccine. www.bbc.com/news/55919245

Fishing , farming , Haulage , Financial services , Auto motive industry, Airlines and plenty more all adversely affected negatively by Brexit . Pound devalued , loss of freedom of movement. Northern Ireland stitched up , Scotland soon to leave etc etc Your one benefit, the vaccines which we did whilst still in the EU . You even had to audacity to claim the fishermen had a great deal . Laughable. You said you’d blocked me and didn’t want to talk. That suits me because I get a bitter taste talking to anti-British traitors. Please continue to ignore me, everyone will be much happier.

The EMA (which is a separate entity to the EU anyway) approved the vaccine with no issues, France decided upon themselves to say that there wasn't enough clinical evidence to give it to the over 65's. A wrong call IMO, but a call by France - not the EU. Do you understand the difference between France and the EU? Yet again, you've ended up with egg on your face.

They actually think the EU said the AZ vaccines “doesn’t work”. It’s quite frightening.

If we put aside the semantics there is a real issue here,Macron and other Senior leaders in France and Germany for what ever reason clearly railed against the efficacy of the AZ vaccines for over 65,the result has been very poor take up and the potential that millions of doses to waste. This is bad news for all of us and combined with the disaster that has been the EU vaccination programme puts us all at greater risk that this pandemic will have a long tail. Macrons et al have at best been crass or worst negligent .

The EU never said the vaccine doesn't work, France never said the vaccine doesn't work. France decided (god knows why) that they didn't believe there was enough clinical evidence in those over 65. The difference here is monumental. Thats their prerogative to take, HAS-Sante is a very respected authority in the field so I was surprised to see Macron talking about this. IMO politics should really be staying out of vaccine effectiveness discussions. But I agree, it is really bad for all of us. Not only the other day I was speaking with my friend in Slovakia, a country that out of nowhere now has the highest excess deaths and cases per 100k. They took it one further and didn't allow the AZ vaccine to be given to over 55's, imagine that - a country losing control and they controlled the vaccine even further. Then just to top it off - they bought 2m doses of Sputnik, a vaccine where there is literally no clinical evidence at all. How can the even begin to justify that?! Absolute lunacy.

Totally agree, what I'm getting at is Macrons use of language plays on the fears of the population and reinforces the anti vaxxers, speaking to my Belgium friends they strongly believe that words used really meant don't have the vaccine and now they are confused by the positive messaging. All in all a mess that could have been avoided. Anyway had my vaccine yesterday and felt as rough as a badgers arse today!!

The French have a history of being vaccine reticent so I’ve read . Great news you’ve had your vaccine Clive , it’s interesting that I’ve heard of a few people who’ve not felt too well after the vaccine but my 88 yr old mum didn’t have any reaction at all and didn’t even feel the jab going into her arm !
