It's very easy to overlook players that do the basics well. There were some very good performances there, paddy madden is a whily old git! Great save from Day when needed, even better because he didn't have much to do. Bit wasteful up front as we deserved 3 points there no two ways about it. Goes to show the stats mean nothing as we had some very good chances, just a mixture of good defending and belief on our part.

Correct me on this was that r third successive 0-0 at Fleetwood on the last 3 visits Much better performance today. Defensive mistakes eliminated. Fleetwood rubbish coming forward, kept putting the ball out of play. Defensively though Fleetwood looked pretty decent and I noted the commentators comment that they rarely let in more than one goal. Thought Grant had a good performance today. Noticed Leahy shouting encouragement at team mates in first half (maybe good shout for captain). He was good going forward, but gave the winger far too much space when defending. Hanlan is a real handful and we need to get the ball to his feet in the box.

Vast improvement from Tues but cant help feeling frustrated we didnt win. Thought Williams was very good along with Grant. Liddle did ok considering his lack of game time but we certainly looked more threatening once McCormick came on. Overall much better but we have to start beating the sides in the lower half

He'd bring Daly and Nicholson into the game more. Don't care how old he is, i think he'd improve us.

Much better, Phew! Williams had a terrific game and Day finally showed some form. Grant looked the part today and it would be hard to fault his performance, he nudged ahead of Williams for MOTM . Up front Daly made a significant difference with his work rate and closing down, Hanlon played well but he needs a goal. Not Nicholson's day but still he is always a threat and must play as much as possible. After 5 minutes I was thinking Liddle was way out of his depth but by half time he had grown into it and was playing ok. McCormick however was a step up when he came on.
At the back we did ok limiting our mistakes and their chances. Leahy and others must concentrate and focus more, often he gets involved in arguing with the referee or not be prepared for opposition quick throw ins. As a team performance it was a 100% improvement, but needs to be placed in the context that Fleetwood are a poor team and our last performance was so bad that we couldn't possibly have been worse.
We stay out of the bottom 4 on goal difference which shows how poor some of the teams below us are and if we continue to improve we can and will stay up. We must match this effort and some more next week. Relieved rather than pleased after this performance.

Didn't day play well against Peterborough, always in the right place to make the saves looks simple OK last Tuesday was rubbish all round

I would bitten your hand off before the game but still feels like 3 points lost after the game if we had a goal scorer...fleetwod were poor today and those opportunities need to be taken

It was better but I don’t agree with those saying we deserved to win. It’s not like we were robbed we got what we deserved a point.

A point away and an improved display. Looked like a pen to me when Williams went down first half but didn't see a replay.

Much better today and it’s clear there was a reaction to Tuesday. All the players stepped up and we got a useful point but when you see the others in this league getting wins it was disappointing that we couldn’t beat a side who weren’t that good. Fwiw: Liddell did well and gave some stability in the middle and Grant had a good game covering that space in front of the defence really well. But when McC came on we looked better and with more clinical finishing could have won. Williams is a solid defender and did well when he got forward, possibly my MOM. Baldwin is criticised but we look better imo when he plays. Is anyone coaching our forwards? Several times when we got to the byline and sent hard balls into the area if our players had got across the defenders they’d have had a better chance but often they didn’t. When Hanlan did it once we nearly scored. Day did well today and made several good saves but when Fleetwood had a free kick in the same place as they had for JVS mistake at the Mem they had a direct shot and Day pushed it away. I’m glad he did but it was a bog-standard save. There were no players within five yards of him and he could have just collected it easily in his midriff but he punched. GK coaching, is that happening? Well done Tis, you got a reaction out of them and well done the players. Now we need to turn good performances into wins. UTG!

Draws will not be enough-we need three wins on the trot to even think of being safe-seven teams in the dog fit-Oxford and Swindon next-four points minimum required

At least the players put in a shift today and it's not another Dave Penney situation where they've basically downed tools.

Pleased that Ehmer has remembered to put his boots on the right feet today. and thankfully left his concrete ones at home.

Couldn't bear to watch checked in on halftime and full time perhaps I should be happy with a point, but I am not it doesn't make up for Tuesday or the last 5 games. Tisdale has not convinced me that he is capable of taking this club forward and we still look like the worst side in this league atm. We need results and we need them quickly or we are down.

At this level defenders will always make mistakes, the problem is we are not scoring and see no reason why this will change. Can't see how we can stay up.

If Mc cormick is fit then he needs to start. He’s got energy he gets stuck in and he plays the ball forwards. Our best midfielder this season.

We so need experience up front. We were hitting balls up and Hanlan,on my recollection, held it up twice, Once on his thigh and another header. It is comong back far too quickly. Nicholson stands out as our only really skilful player. Good to see Daly back and being his usual terrier self.
