+++++++++++++++++++ Day +++++++++++++++++++++ ************ Ehmer ***** Kilgor ***** Baldwin ************** ++++++ Williams ++ Grant +++ McCormick ++ Leahy ++++++++ ********************** Nicholson ************************* ++++++++++ Hanlon ++++++++++++++ Daly ++++++++++ Bench: Jaakola, Harries, Rodman, Liddle, Westbrook, Oztumer, Ayunga It will interesting to see Jaakola is fit enough to start or still a couple of games away. If fit he would start I would have thought. Let's assume he Is'nt for my prediction for tonight; I’d make two changes from that line up , Totunda for Leahy and Ayunga for Hanlon . Hanlon looks like he needs a rest to me .

Love Dave T and have liked the idea of Ayunga pounding into the back line not bouncing off them, giving them a different thing to think about.

Not confident I am afraid just can’t see us scoring? But I can see a certain person scoring! Ffs 🤦♂️ luckily we can’t watch it in the flesh

Id go for
Day
Williams Ehmer Baldwin Tutonda
Grant
McCormick Oztumer
Nicholson
Daly Hanlon
Let them worry about us instead of us worry about them. Push up on their b acks and stop them playing. Wouldnt trust Kilgour with Taylor around.

Would love to see Tutonda start but just hope we actually score. Dave had a bit if a shocker in Tisdale's first game against Swindon, but he does have something different going forward.
I'm of the opinion that Leahy has been one of our best players in our poor recent run. He's one of our only players with a bit of guile. So I'd start with Leahy (unless injured) and possibly bring Tutonda or Koike on for the last 30 if the game is still there to be won.

With Alfie being a gas head and being well aware of how we feel about the snake I would hope he will start softening him up from the off.

I think we should just dig some more imaginary holes around the Mem pitch.

I think it's best to hope for another draw on this one.
I would stick Tutonda on instead of Leahy I don't mind Leahy going forward but the guy can't defend, and to be honest I don't Tutonda is any better at defending but we may as well give him a go.
Looking at the squad that midfield worries me. There's not a lot of experience and no physicality so our defence will flooded with attacks again.
Basic 4-4-2 no wing-backs just let the defenders defend.
Day
Williams Ehmer Baldwin Tutonda
Rodman Grant McCormick Nicholson
Daly Hanlon

He's not a footballing genius by any stretch of the imagination, and defensively he's not the best, but he's certainly nowhere near as bad as some make out. He gets forward quite well and as you say, he has a bit of guile and tries to make things happen. He just seems a bit more of a steady eddy, which is probably why he's being selected over the inexperience of Koiki and Tutonda at this level. I do hope those two as have a future at the Gas though, but with Jones due back at the club next season, we will surely see at least one of them move on.

2-1 Oxford I think.
If we get anything from tonight I’ll be happy. All about Saturday for me though.

Hanlan needs a rest and Ayunga needs to be given a start to see what he can do. He will never be ‘ready’ unless he is given a run of games and more minutes than 10 at the end of a game. Hanlan coming on at say 60 minutes would be a great option.

The way things are going at the moment I will always take a point, but 3 would be amazing (and about time we all had something to celebrate).

I’m not too sure McCormick and Oztumer will work I think we will be over run down the middle. if Ogogo was fit then maybe but not with Grant as a holding midfielder. We shall see but I would stick someone on Taylor! We know what he is capable of.

Day Ehmer Kilgour Baldwin Williams Grant McCormick Leahy Nicholson Hanlan Daly
Ozzy and Ayunga to come on if required and/or to give Nicholson, Daly or Hanlan a rest.
I'll predict a 1-0 Oxford win. I can't see us scoring to be honest, although I'd love to be proven wrong. UTG!
