Strangely, I'm feeling positive about this one, going for a 2-0 win. Rodman flying down the wing, peppering the goal with crosses - Daly and Nicholson will make the onion bag bulge. C'mon Rovers! Two out of three on the bench - cheers Tommy, made me look a right tool! |

Its a 90+ minute game with 5 subs allowed.
The starting line up is not as important as it was in the 1950s . Literally half the outfield team can be replaced during the game.
Ehmer may be injured or he may well just be being rested.
No surprise seeing Leahy as captain ,does tend to be more vocal on the pitch than most of the players out there.

I'm sure I heard there was 1 mystery player who was slightly injured training over weekend and nothing serious . It was touch and go . Agree about dropping Daly seems strange decision. TW's claiming in his pre-match interview he had a slight shoulder injury, it's anybody's guess if that's the case or not. |

No Ehmer in the squad.... injured? Whilst he’s been inconsistent I am massively surprised he hasn’t made the squad.... also personally I’d have Daly ahead of Ayunga although it looks like we may be going for his height and Hanlans strength to battle Pompeys strong defence.., What do we think 3-4-3? According to the OS Ehmer is in the team and there is no Baldwin - which is correct??!!!!!!!!!! |

On the bright side. Upson's back in the squad. Very true. So glad that he must be getting back to fitness again now. We’ve severely missed his experience and quality. No surprise that we haven’t had any results since he’s been out. |

I was just about to post the same as after reading the posts on here I couldn't figure why everyone was talking about Ehmer being missing. Went back to check and Ehmer is indeed playing according to the OS and Baldwin is out. We know how to impress prospective managers! |

Someone needs to work off ayunga, he wins loads in the air, but our forwards often look like strangers. Maybe Nicholson could feed off him? Interesting to see how the defence is without Ehmer, it could be more balanced?

Why would Leahy be captain with Ehmer on the pitch? Looks very defensive and very narrow , 2 things that have held us back this season.
Hopefully we’ll play with a decent tempo and determination 2 other things we haven’t done this season that have held us back.

Tonight the result matters. It’s all that really matters. Who plays, who doesn’t doesn’t really matter. What matters is a team performance and a result that can start to build our fight back. I do so hope that this squad can do it this evening.
