Surprised one wasn’t already created but opportunity for me to start my second one after successfully threading the Rovers vs Chelsea PJT match which ended 4-3 to the gas.
I’ll provide more content later with some insight into Wigan and what I think Joey Barton’s Rovers might look like 👍🏼
It’s a must win match and I believe we will!

Genuinely excited for this one. Hope he doesn't pull a Tisdale and just stick with exactly the same formation as his predecessor.

Hold onto your seats should be interesting, probably too soon to see much of the managers influence on the team yet but hopefully we will get that new manager bounce, goes without saying 3 points and nothing less required. C'mon you Blues!

Actually woke up feeling excited that it's matchday.
Not expecting miracles from JB, but I think that tonight we'll see his team, and evidence that he'll have been doing his homework on the players during the last week. Got a feeling it will be 2-1 this evening. UTG.

Hoping for a storming start and the lads are really up for this one , Wigan have taken a few tankings this season. That’s why ( optimistically!) I’ve put £10 at 50/1 on a 4-0 win. Up the bloody Gas !

Perhaps we need two threads for match days now? One for those pro JB and one for those who cannot reconcile themselves to the appointment

Hopefully a winning start for Joey and kick start an unbeaten run. When is Jaakkolla back from injury?

Just seen JB trying on a new pair of knuckle dusters down Gloucester Road! Great news. I was disappointed with his first interview. I was hoping he`d get us all assembled on College Green, and recreate Sherman`s March To The Sea, as we made our way down to Trashton.

Be interesting to see if he plays with 3 centre halves. Post were saying he likes the potential of daly and Westbrook. Maybe another formation change if both of these are to be involved more

Strengths, weaknesses and style of play+ Strengths
Coming back from losing positions Strong - Weaknesses Protecting the lead Weak Defending against attacks down the wings Weak Defending against long shots Weak Defending against skillful players Weak Aerial duels Weak Defending set pieces Weak Stopping opponents from creating chances Weak Wigan's Style of PlayAttacking down the right Long balls Play with width Play the offside trap OpinionThis is a massive game. One of many in the next few weeks. It is a must win if we are to avoid relegation. We can't afford to do what we did against Rochdale. We need to dominate them from the start and take our chances when they present themselves. We don't have any major injuries that I am aware of other than Abs, Barrett and Jaakkola so we should be able to get at them with what ever team Joey decides is right to compete and win. We have options to go direct and physical or get it down and play. Joey normally favours a back 4 in a 4-2-3-1 formation which has brought us success in a few games this season. In terms of 'our' formation, we haven't decided yet which i think is half the problem. Played way too many different systems so far this season. I think I would like to go 4-2-3-1 using Jonah at the very top. * | * | * | Day | * | * | * | Williams | * | Kilgour | * | Baldwin | * | Leahy | * | Grant | * | * | * | McCormick | * | * | * | Hanlan | Oztumer | Nicholson | * | * | * | * | * | Ayunga | * | * | * |
