Sounds more like a scaled down version of the battle of Agincourt. Should get Lee Archer to take it. Or Billy Bowdin.

I’d like to see someone try a corner where 6 or 7 attackers have a starting position near the halfway line and then make a run from there like a swarm of bees. Arriving in the box as a group, at pace as a floated corner arrives. I wouldn’t want to try and defend that! Bunch together is so so. Still need loose players at edge of box to pick up loose ends or “unfriendly “ crosses as per Wigan first goal. As regards bunch 1/2 way, we will probably concede even more as they will attack us or pick up the loose ball! Set pieces, especially corners better if kept simple ie one man taking and delivered into box! How many short corners did we mess up yesterday and ended up passing back to goalie or loosing the ball. Plus the control of our players generally means just get it in first time. Tippy tappy at back or on wings dies not work for us?! Simples! PS For a good change, Grant played well and looked to go forwards rather than backwards. Also Westbrook played well when he came on but needs to extend his focal width when with the ball? 2 players I have previously criticised a lot! I don’t think we’d be any more exposed to a breakaway as the intention would be to have the same number of players in the box as when a corner arrives - rather than all being stood about in a confined area we’d arrive en masse, at pace which would be far harder to defend against. Agree Grant played well. If a simple forward pass is on he should of course take it but if it’s not on I’d rather he goes backwards or sideways than giving the opposition the ball back. It’s weird that a holding midfield player in league one has to contribute going forward but someone like Claude Makele (possibly the best defensive midfield in modern history) never had any criticism for his lack of goals or assists. Not sure I ever saw him make a forward pass! FWIW I think both Grant and Westbrook’s will go on to be very good players - definitely championship for Grant and possibly Westbrook’s too.
