Quite nervous about this one. Wigan are no push-overs and are stronger after a goodish January window. JB will have had only a few hours with the squad at most and will at best only have been able to get a limited number of ideas across.
I do expect the team to go for it but waking up the day-dream defense and taking our scoring chances are deep seated issues.
Heart says a win but head thinks the JB bubble of optimism might be burst. An early Gas goal to give the team belief would certainly help.

Absolutely no idea how we will line up, but we have to hope we get a new man bounce like we did against Pompey as this is a must win. I was very concerned with JB's appointment, and whilst success cant be guaranteed and whilst i worry we will get huge bad publicity at some point, I cant help but warm to him over the past 24hrs based on everything he has said. Fingers crossed it works out. I dreamt a 4-0 lead after 66 minutes last night but not one squad player was in the team so what does that help! Day Williams Kilgour Baldwin Leahy Grant McCormick Hanlon Nicholson Daly Ayunga That is very much the team I expect provide Nicholson is fit enough to play 90 minutes.

In a game where we hopefully will have at least 50% possession, I think it’s time for Oz to shine. It’s been stop start for him but we’re so much better with him in there, despite him only showing it in flashes. From watching his Fleetwood team a lot, Joey likes proper footballers who can retain and dominate the ball. Wouldn’t surprise me to see him partner Westbrooke with Grant and push Mc into a 3 with Oz and Nicholson. That combination has energy, legs and quality. Not sure we need two number 6’a in a must win game. We absolutely dominated them away from home.
I’m not expecting miracles overnight but I’m quietly confident of a result. 2-0 is my prediction. No strikers fit for us that night so we would probably have won if they were.Plus the Nicho miss wtf! Wigan have made a lot of signings though so would have an improved line up as well.Going for 3-0 gas.

I wonder if the i-follow "attendance" will show an increase this evening?
I'm looking forward to Rodders pinging in the crosses and Ayunga knocking in a couple of goals - I've been hoping for this for the last few games, so I hope that JB won't let me down!

I think I read somewhere Barton played predominantly 4-2-3-1 in his spell this season with Fleetwood
It’s a system we have had joy with
Day
Williams Kilgour Ehmer Leahy
Grant Upson
Nicholson McCormick Rodman
Ayunga
Hanlan, Oz, Daly to replace if needed.
I’ve never guessed a correct starting line up so expect this to be a load of nonsense
I don’t care how we do it but we must win tonight. No pressure Joey....

We have options to go direct and physical or get it down and play. Joey normally favours a back 4 in a 4-2-3-1 formation which has brought us success in a few games this season. In terms of 'our' formation, we haven't decided yet which i think is half the problem. Played way too many different systems so far this season. I haven't the faintest idea what team and formation will be used tonight. However, I'm confident that whoever is playing will significantly raise their game in front of the new manager. Barton won't accept any freeloaders and these players will soon understand that he is not the sort of guy to mess about. In the same vein, Clint Hill is no shrinking violet either!

Excited for this one, but also nervous as if we lose, we are in big big trouble! I'm intrigued to see what selection and formation Joey goes with, as I've got no idea what his preference was for at Fleetwood. Cautiously predict a 2-1 Gas win. UTG! Yeah, Northampton and Rochdale playing each other, and very close for everyone else at the bottom. We've had a ridiculously long spell of losing matches but not actually dropping down the table much. That's bound to end soon. A draw between Northampton and Rochdale would be ideal

I wonder if the i-follow "attendance" will show an increase this evening? I'm looking forward to Rodders pinging in the crosses and Ayunga knocking in a couple of goals - I've been hoping for this for the last few games, so I hope that JB won't let me down! Is iFollow club specific or can you choose between matches? Just wondering if some of JB's twitter followers may be interested in dropping in out of curiosity. Could boost numbers a little.

With the strong windy conditions I'd go for as many ball players who can keep the ball on the deck as possible!
No point using the long ball from Harries tonight. So, definitely a 4-2-3-1 lineup.
