A game we should never have lost. Wigan defended in numbers and for all our efforts on goal there weren’t many if any you could describe as clear cut.
Obviously we have this chronic weakness defending high balls into the box. We don’t need scapegoats. We don’t need to blame any individual tonight.
We’ve just appointed a new coaching team, including a well respected defensive coach and they’ve only had one session with the lads.
Have to have faith that they can make a difference. I don’t think any of these players are individually rubbish.

Ayunga you idiot. Cost us. Nothing to do with sh** defending then? On the basis he must know his teammates can't defend, then it probably was mainly his fault? I wonder if JB's accepted he may need to manage us in L2 next season, or planned to only be here in L1? I don't understand how we could let Craig leave and not get in an experienced leader to replace him. If we couldn't sign a striker in January then we may as well have spent the money on a a decent CH (or just kept Tom Davis).

I have criticised Grant a lot this season but he played well second half and looked to go forwards
Otherwise no one else stood out
Defence as per usual concede dreadful goals that even schoolkids would be embarrassed by
Need to clear most of our defence out this season! Ball watch too many times, do not mark players, leave it to each other
Woeful Rovers
Can’t see us getting out of this!!!
All results at bottom went against us and we gifted Wigan
As Kampuchea said, I am glad I don’t have to watch this at the grounds!

Well this game has given J.B. absolutely everything to see. It’s been a typical Rovers this season performance hasn’t it. Some decent possession but absolutely utter sh**e in both boxes. I bet he can’t wait to get on the training field and get his ideas in to this bunch of clueless twats. He’s got a mountain to climb to get them organised at the back that is for sure. You are right and as others have said, anyone would have their work cut out with this team. I hope they are all back in training tomorrow and they are put through the paces and react fast. why o why can't we defend set pieces? And strikers just don't look like scoring. Cant blame JB really, as you have said at least he has now had a good look at the challenges he has first hand.

I genuinely think that’s it. I can’t see where a win will come from. There’s no oomph with this team, no blood sweat and tears. Nicholson was just strolling around, without a game changer we just don’t even look like scoring let alone winning. Thoroughly depressed. Nicholson was so weak tonight most of the time a gentle nudge was enough to send him flying and there was no way that any of those times were fouls , he may be injured he may not be but tonight he was pathetic. Hanlan also probably had his worst game in a Rovers shirt and just seems to be getting worse with each game since the mid way point which up to then he’d had a decent season. Add to that two horrendous pieces of defending that a side at the bottom of the conference would have been disappointed with and it just goes to show what a job J.B. has got on his hands. I’m still hopeful , we’re not down yet and the positive to come from tonight is that all of our problems were on show for our new manager to see and learn from.

How can Kioki and Kilgour just stand and watch the cross come in without attacking the ball, and why is Day rooted to his line, are they all just too lazy to do the basics or trying to get Barton sacked already, those 3, or at least the first 2, should be made do a few laps of the pitch to wake them up. Kilgour needs a Tony Craig style player next time him giving him orders and telling him what to do. He's tall, strong and athletic enough but his awareness and marking in so poor. Can we bring Davies back? 😪

Like Joe already he is prepared to kick ass.
Obvs they are not the player he was which has never been before with any Rovers manager.
But like him now. Dont think he is a I will kill you if you dont play.
Just got that feeling he will do us well. He has to use his intellect to get us through on goal

agree, this is Garner's squad and its bang average. Lack of quality throughout. The best player is anssi who was already here ffs I wish it was average! It falls far far short of average Yeah we’re a long way from average, I’ve not looked at the table tonight but I reckon we’re probably about 12 points off average.

We deserve to go down, I just can’t believe how abysmal we are! Our current form for 14 months have been the worst in division. It fell apart in December 2019.. We totally deserve it and had several windows to address this . What is sad is the club is actually going back. That's the difficult one to accept..

Yes it was a stupid foul to give away by Ayunga, but those things happen. The defenders are to blame for conceding from set pieces every single f**king game. Ben Garner has blood on his hands getting rid Tony Craig. Recall Tom Davies and see if he can make any impact. Not only can these clowns not defend set pieces, they’re equally as pathetic at attacking them too. Think JB is going to be spinning some jaws in the dressing room for that and rightly so. Disgraceful. The foul was stupid but Ayunga did more good work the I n their third in 10 minutes than Hanlan did in 80.

I have to say, Ben Garner has somehow assembled the most pathetic squad I’ve ever seen. agree, this is Garner's squad and its bang average. Lack of quality throughout. The best player is anssi who was already here ffs All overseen by TW, surely he could see it was cr@p and warned Wael what was going on in the summer, or just thought the signings were OK? How about changing things in January when all he did was bring in a RB, outfield players wise, when we clearly needs a CB or two?
