Our remaining fixtures look really tough. I don’t see where we’re going to pick up the points needed to survive.

The team just has the smell of relegation about it. I don’t think there is much JB can do about it. Every time we’ve been relegated it’s felt inevitable for a while and that’s how it feels now. It’s ruining my Saturdays and Tuesdays!! We won our last game and totally dominated for 92 minutes. We were doing really again well tonight and in no trouble until McCormick made a stupid decision to kick the ball away. Refs at this level are poor and inconsistent - even more reason not to give them a decision to make and McCormick fell into the trap. It’s frustrating watching teams block quick free kicks and time waste every week but they are far more subtle about it - McCormick was way too blatant when kicking the ball away and he’ll learn from it. Someone said earlier perhaps he should have been taken off because he was on a yellow but it was only a week or two ago he was applauded for a mature, man of the match performance after picking up a booking in the first 5 minutes. Its a great shame as a minimum of a point or possibly 3 were there for the taking tonight. Eric bang on the money, Luke is young but why give these inconsistent referees a chance to card you, second half Hemmings booted the ball twice the distance away, nothing. Thought we played well first half, could not finish, then looked at sea after the sending off, only troubled them in injury time deeply disappointing. Can t see us getting anything at Hull therefore I would probably play the fringe players.

Have you 2 lost the plot, we were robbed by the ref. Never a second yellow. Shocking decision has cost us. It was a terrible decision, yes. But we robbed ourselves, by not taking our chances, YET AGAIN. We only have ourselves to blame.

I blame Westy, he decided to take over from my match day thread from Saturday....... 😉🤔😜 we were on a hiding to nothing from 9 minutes past midnight It's not the first time McM's picked up a needless early yellow, leaving him on a tightrope by giving the ref the chance to brandish a second yellow/red for the rest of the game.

Joe change the mindset. We should have won that one. You have to be the most fair play manager to those officials

A totally shocking referee performance completely ruined the game. Our finishing was poor but that defeat was just self inflicted and what makes it even worse is Burton were not much better than a pub team, so poor. Good to see you back UTG

Absolute joke . Burton player kicks the ball away ten minutes from the end and gets nothing. Was worse than the little touch Mccormick gave it. Terrible refereeing but Grant should have equalised with the header just before the end. I felt a lot of players played well tonight and the one refereeing decision changed the match. If you are going to book players for a little kick down the line then you may as well book every player before you start.Where do they get these referees. It is bollocks but if we don’t take the chances then it’s on us and not the red and it would have been game over at half time

The second yellow completely flipped the game.

Eric,I can assure you I am not enjoying this at all. I am Gas through and through, I cannot accept this man as the manager of this greatclub You clearly have no respect for your “fellow gasheads” who you come on here to goad. You still haven’t explained why you think ‘decent fans’ will have cancelled their season tickets? What is your description of those of us who have not cancelled our season tickets - is undecent a word? Any proof of having had your season ticket cancelled? A picture of it cut up like an expired credit card alongside a picture of your email to Tom Gorringe (you can redact any personal details) where you ask him to cancel your iFollow pass will do.

I'm wondering whether he thinks he should have been taken off in all the other games, as well. Or he's just using his mystical powers of predicting the future hindsight.

Ultimately we've paid for not making the most of absolutely dominating the first half. Yes we were poor 2nd half but we stayed in the game and Grant should really have got his last minute header on target. I don't think we can fault their effort but we have to score when we're on top in games. Incredibly harsh sending off which has at the very least contributed to the result. Where is the accountability for the officials, he'll go home tonight and forget all about it yet arguably he could have cost us 3 points. Really frustrating again, this season is doing my head in !!!

Or he's just using his mystical powers of predicting the future hindsight. Yeah, I think you only take off a player with a yellow if they’re still putting in hefty challenges or they’ve got previous for picking up second yellows. I think McCormick was being fairly restrained up until he got sent off. It’s just one of those things where his mind might not have fully registered that kicking the ball away is potentially a bookable offence whilst he was doing it.
