It was a terrible decision, yes. But we robbed ourselves, by not taking our chances, YET AGAIN. We only have ourselves to blame. How can you say it was a terrible decision and they say we robbed ourselves in the same sentence? The second yellow completely flipped the game. Because we missed gilt edge chances in the 1st Half, which we have done all season. If we would of gone in 2-0 or even 1-0 up at Half Time which we should of done, that would of changed the game a lot more than the 2nd Yellow did. We didn't and the Red Card cost us more than it should of. |

Burton more street wise took chance well but worrying that two mid week games have seen us lose to both relegation rivals. A trip to Hull who are going well is not going to be very difficult!

No, Topper said he should have been taken off after getting the yellow. I'm wondering whether he thinks he should have been taken off in all the other games, as well. Or he's just using his mystical powers of predicting the future hindsight. Not in the comment that you quoted he didn't. No mention of Topper saying he should have been taken off |

Our remaining fixtures look really tough. I don’t see where we’re going to pick up the points needed to survive. I agree . We still got to go to ispwich Pompey hull Charlton muff Blackpool . On paper we got the hardest running in and are losing the crucial six pointers. But selling JCH for 1.2 mil and releasing 4 other strikers and buying only 2 of which one have never kicked a ball . And even Daly only played one or two prior meant if it came off It would be a lucky escape . What team releases 5 strikers ( JCH exceptional ) and only gets 3 and stays up ?. It's a good try but risky and almost inevitable ! |

Joe please learn that being a manager is totally different to being a supporter.
I wanted the ref to die in the 90 mins. Obvs now thats stupid best wishes to him and family
But niceness is a power of flattery. Think they sent our boy off to send a message.
You can be one of the greats like Cloughie who always backed the ref, so the ref had to back him

Absolute joke of a ref who basically threw the game in Burton's favour after we had them on the ropes in the first half.
My biggest regret is once again that we didn't take our chances when we had them.
Yet another lost opportunity to get some crucial points against a team we should be beating, now the game with Hull becomes even more important.
The only thing that gives me hope is that we have had wins against Pompey & Lincoln and draws with Posh & Sunderland so no reason to think we can't get a result but the pressure is building as the number of games left in the season reduces.

I think one of the issues is the manager has come in, worked out relatively quickly what his favoured/strongest team is, and understandably, isn't sure about a lot of the others on the fringes.
In a normal season, where you're playing Saturday to Saturday you could probably get away with putting out the same team each week, but flogging the same 11 every Saturday and Tuesday as it is at the moment, is tough.
I thought we played well first half, but with 10 men and taking the above in to consideration, I didn't think we looked like we had the legs for it from 60 mins onwards.
Don't think we'll breeze to safety, but think we'll stay up in the end.

In every game of league one football I've watched, the ball gets kicked away to prevent a quick restart at some stage. I have never ever seen this punished with a card.
Tonight we effectively get a sending off for it! The game then totally swings in their favour as we scramble to work out how to play with 10.
That decision really needs looking at because the ref has now dictated the result with a decision completely out of the norm.

We have thrown away 6 points in a week and came close to doing similarly v Shrewsbury and yet in all 3 games we have played well. We are continuing to miss chances with little sign that we will score enough to make a difference. Our recruitment last Summer was unforgivable in the extreme and we are paying 2 ex Managers for their incompetence.
