Interesting Barton said in the interview that when Grant went off the player 2 replace him was not ready Upson I assume that is unprofessional

I agree - under barton. I was totally against harries earlier this season, thought he was awful. I’m also not one to pick on players but I couldn’t see anything redeeming. Recently he’s been solid, can certainly tackle and his long passes out the back are nothing short of brilliant. Nearly always close to target and often just that bit ahead to make it interesting. He’s a good player in the making. Main issue is too slow. Looks deceptively like he isn’t interested and lollops around like a Great Dane. Yes but Schmeichel was a goal keeper Also excellent

Could be the hardest starting line up to call since DC left! DC has a tank full of Manitees. They would collect plastic balls and swim to the tube, the players names would then drop out of the tank and that’s how teams got picked

Have to play Nicholson wide right. All his best work this season has been cutting in on that left peg like Bodin did. We’ve completely wasted him most of the season as a striker or number 10. He needs to receive the ball out on the right touch line Not in the centre where it’s congested and he’s a marked man.[ There were times we tried Bodin in the middle or as a striker and he looked average there just like Nicholson has.br]Get rodders on the left doing the same - cutting in or Tutonda and keep him wide bombing down the wing taking people on and crossing for Hanlan and Ayunga in the middle. We need pace width and tempo or we’re going down I’ve been saying it all season. 352 with this squad is water easy to play against , nearly all the other managers know how to negate our formation and the players in it.

Interesting Barton said in the interview that when Grant went off the player 2 replace him was not ready Upson I assume that is unprofessional "unprofessional" or just standard for Rovers players? We seem like amateurs throughout the playing side, needless free kicks given away costing us goals, silly yellows/reds obtained, defenders not clearing their lines, etc. GC took the players to a higher professional level, then Wael let Garner dismantle that squad.

My all time favourite Goalkeeper. Pffft, poor mans Jim Leighton pal Bloody hell I remember him. Having defenders that have a mistake in them every game is bad enough thanks.

I’ve a feeling Barton may well shake things up The players consistently picked have under-performed or are carrying knocks. Time for a re-think? Day Hare Baldwin Kilgour Leahy Rodders McCormick Liddle Walker Ayunga Daly Our options in midfield are now worryingly thin, maybe just go youth and legs and see what happens? If that's the case, that our midfield is worryingly thin then that makes that clown Garner even more of a joke as he brought the most number of players in that position.. We have the most amount of players there and none of our backups are good enough, great!!

Our options across the entire pitch are worryingly thin. A leaky defence and a non scoring attack. Now the midfield is looking unconvincing. Barton and Hill must look at this lot with aghast. It takes recruitment skills of the most unique order to collect this squad.

So here are some things I was wrong on:
“Nicholson should be wide” - wrong, he’s great centrally too “Leahy and Kilgore will he dropped” - wrong, both pretty good tonight.
Things I was right on:
“We need a bigger striker up front to hold it up. Hanlan is not a no 9” - think that’s kind of proven now.
