I haven't any idea who JB is going to pick. I wouldn't be surprised if he is scratching his head also. So many players are underperforming and the "apparent" lack of leadership is really concerning. We are in a relegation battle and we need no nonsense players committed to grinding out results. I was never a fan of Ollie Clarke but I'd love him to be playing for us right now.
Another Plymouth-type performance will result in a similar outcome. Swindon are a poor side but so are we. I'm sure that they are looking at this match as a potential 3 points and who would blame them?

OK so i'm going full rando mode for my selection this time... Attachment Deleted...and before you think I have lost it totally... this is how we ended the Plymouth match: In that short period we had a lot of good things (granted it was situational as they were kinda backs against the wall diehard defending their lead):

A lot of players in this squad were recruited and sold a vision for the future by Ben Garner and the board. We are a million miles from that. Even allowing for the fact that they are professionals and being paid accordingly, you can sort of understand if they concluded they made a huge mistake in joining us. That has to be demotivating. I don't think Barton's remarks about some players "may not be here" and clearly singling out Ehmer was helpful. The opposite in fact. His emphasis on building for the future suggests (to me) that he has all but given up and accepts relegation. Failure to win tonight will confirm that I think.

Its ok for some people on here to feel sorry for Elmer but remember him and some others have been the main reason for 2 managers to lose their jobs. Ive watched every game this season and a few of them including Elmer have not given their all in any game . so to me he is getting what he deserves, maybe unfortunate to be the only one , but if he was a manager he would have been sacked.

I wish he was playing well, but you are right I cannot remember him having a good game for us at all this season. So it not like he has been unfairly dropped.

Not felt this nervous coming into a game for a while. Whilst this game doesn’t determine whether stay up or not, it will make it a hell of a lot easier/harder depending if we win or not.
I would like to see Hare and Oztumer feature tonight, just feel like they’ve got something to contribute going forward and in the absence of Nicholson and Rodman, we’re going to need that.
Big game for Ayunga too, noticed that when he’s on his game, we usually perform better.

Bit late for me today! Unfortunately this is a real 'head says' disaster and another loss at home with the best we will get a 1-1 draw, although the 'heart says' we will beat them 3-1. However, Swindon have only conceded more than 2 once since January, so I think heart is going to be disappointed again. Would love to see Daly and Ayunga start 'up top', but suspect JB will stay with Hanlon and Ayunga. The midfield will probably stay the same, unless Grant is available in place of Upson, with a back three of Williams, Kilgour and Baldwin and Leahy at LWB with Hare at RWB. Let's hope for the best with prayer mats out at 6:55!! UTG.

I am aware that there are posters on here that do not like my views on the recruitment of Barton. But I will say this. If a manager or anyone in this position has something to say over the employees performance, it would be dealt with behind closed doors and not broadcast in the local rag. This is not the way to motivate, only to destroy. I expect it's some sort of calculated and deliberate last-ditch effort to get a reaction before it's too late. At least, I would hope so. I'm confident it's a deliberate ploy to distract everyone while Wael, Starnes and Widdrington sell the Mem to make their millions out of the profit that used to be debt.

I'd definitely find a space for Ozzy tonight. We need an attacking midfielder who can actually pass the ball forward accurately and hold on to it. McCormick has been very disappointing since the news that Millwall were after him but I would probably leave out Upson and play McCormick in the deeper role as he is a lot quicker than Upson. . I'm quicker than Upson

I’m calmer than I expected about tonight. In the main recent performances have been better. Saturday was bad, but I’ve seen enough in recent weeks to think that was a blip.
We’ll win tonight. Confident.
For what it’s worth I’d go
Day Williams Alfie Baldwin Hare Mac Up Leahy Oz West (presuming Sammy is unfit) Jonah
Not sure with the idea people have of Tutonda centre mid!
Daly can count himself unlucky but rest of the team seems to pick itself to me.

The project to change our DNA has been an absolute failure, and I look forward to returning to the common sense that all the other clubs have in this league.
