I have been feeling too upset to come on line but now I have done so I have to say that it annoys me when people are so keen to play the blame game that they ignore the fact that the disallowed goal changed the course of the game. You can argue of course that it should not happen but that’s the nature of confidence and belief . The Gas heads went down and the Swindon had a huge psychological lift. We were awful for the remainder of the game and there should be no excuses but the fact remains that the disallowed goal changed the course of the game

Wow Mark Little must be laughing, pure robbery he must've been fit for less than 25% of his time here. Nicholson earns just over half of what Westbrooke's on - shocking if this info is correct. Barton really must be wondering what on earth he’s let himself in for here
Anyone else have a feeling he’s one rant away from walking away?
In my mind he went about things poorly with the Ehmer situation, our little over paid darlings are too sensitive to take direct criticism and their lacklustre display showed they aren’t playing with any spirit or character

Then Ayunga
And then Widdrington and the whole bloody useless club, sod this for a game of soldiers, I’m missing my wife and kids and Bristol ain’t so nice after all, what with these riots and funny accents........

I went to bed last night and I thought the missus was already asleep.
Just as I got into bed I heard a voice say, did they win? I said - we were 1 - 0 up but managed to lose 1 - 0. The reply was - Oh never mind dear, women eh! 😂.

I just watched the highlights back. Westbrooke's goal should have stood and that's a key moment in the match. However, we can't hide the fact that we were still very poor, still devoid of confidence and inspiration up front, and still terrible at defending. Even Swindon, one of the worst teams I've seen in a while, are capable of beating us without even looking like they tried that hard to do it. For our defence to not attack the second ball after the freekick was criminal. It was a good finish, but Westbrooke and Williams should never have allowed him to get a shot away.
We CAN still stay up, but we need a miraculous turnaround with these players, and even the beacon of positivity that was JB when he arrived, is looking extremely downbeat after last night. I said that having 3 permanent managers in a season rarely ends well, and sadly relegation seems to be inevitable.

the ROVERS do wonderful work for the community but to dedicate the first half last night to walking football was a step too far

This sums it up for me this season played 37 league matches we have failed to score in 19 of those game truly appalling

That goal should have stood, and when it didn't there would have been an affect on the players - players that have been struggling and probably have felt that we haven't been given the correct decision on incidents in a number of games recently. It's not right in professional players, but it's human nature. At 1-0 up perhaps confidence would have risen, Swindon wouldn't have got the boost from getting a valid goal disallowed etc etc. Yes we are poor, and we may still have conceded and we may still have lost, or gained just one point, and we will still more than likely get relegated whatever last nights result, but it really feels like everything is aligned against us at the moment. That game was decided by a weak referee who changed the game by disallowing a valid goal due to being put under pressure by players.
We were on top and psychologically it affected us.
They will walk away, no investigations. Too many times this season this has happened.
I’m almost feel like giving up football, last night was too demoralising. It’s not watching who’s the best team, it’s who’s watching who can con the referee.
I hope the incompetent 3 pricks officiating last nights game get fired. They won’t, they’ll sail on merrily and we will get relegated, just like that prick who sent off McCormick.
They are just so unprofessional and this season they must have cost us so many point. Where it’s so close and tight, these actions decide seasons.
I genuinely feel we have been very unlucky. Without these absolute bell ends reffing games we would be many points higher.

Its ok for some people on here to feel sorry for Elmer but remember him and some others have been the main reason for 2 managers to lose their jobs. Ive watched every game this season and a few of them including Elmer have not given their all in any game . so to me he is getting what he deserves, maybe unfortunate to be the only one , but if he was a manager he would have been sacked. Who were the others out of interest bud? Kinda morbidly interested in who might see or not see as the case may be from here on in Would like to add the 11 that started last night and a couple of the subs that come on |
