Far too much money spent on far too many hangers on. The Queen is on of the richest people in the world. Prince Charles owns acres of land and 1000s of properties. Are you seriously suggesting they would be destitute if they stopped leaching off us? And what work do they actually do? Wave at us plebs a few times a year? My heart bleeds for them. Try being a nurse or paramedic. That's bloody working. EDIT. Prince Phillip's tax funded annual income was equivalent to around 20 nurses income. That's not taking into account his estimated 30M worth and his incomes from Dutchy estates and the Queens income that she divides up. The Queen ranked in the Sunday Times 2020 UK rich list at 372. She is ranked below the owner of the lot down the road and is not a billionaire. I very much doubt Prince Charles owns 1000s of properties. The bulk of property, Buckingham Palace, Windsor Castle etc, Crown Jewels, Country Estates, furniture paintings etc are not owned by the Queen/Royal family. They cannot be sold and are held in trust for future generations. You've just about insulted every person on this forum by saying you dont work unless your a nurse/paramedic. No one in life chooses their family to be born into, no one chooses to be born into wealth or poverty. Just typical comments on here about someone who has more money than they do in life. Jealously springs to mind. I have no issue with inherited or earned wealth. I do have an issue when we, the UK tax payer are having to prop up financial inequality. The Dutchies of Cornwall and Lancashire are huge and includes palaces, but also farms and other properties which are rented out. Your point that I insulted everyone who isnt a nurse is pathetic and barely deserves a response. If you are unable to grasp how examples work, then there is no further point in engaging with you.

Cool story bro ! Good to hear you’ve no problem with economic migrants then as they didn’t have a choice of the family they were born into or where they born . Imagine being the sort of person that hated on others just because they didn’t have the same life chances as others more fortunate. What are you rambling on about Yatton. I know you clearly take the view that if you vote conservative you must be racist. But please find one post of mine where I have stated I have a problem with economic migrants. I'll save you a job...you won't. You say cool story ... tell me what's incorrect. Its incorrect that the Dutchy doesnt own 1000s of properties. While they may not be able to sell them, they do make an income from them. I did not insult everyone on this forum. I am not jealous of the wealthy. So, basically wrong on almost every point you raised.

It is. But how do you mean (I might be thinking something different)? I'm curious as there appears to be lots about the UK et al that you don't like,so I'm interested genuinely how you function in this environment. This thread isn't about me... But I don't choose the current UK environment, so am happy to be critical of its many obvious failures. You are suggesting that everyone just has to make do with the environment (system of power) around them, which is the wrong outlook IMO.

A place full of racist, 'Flag waving scum' where everybody is only interested in money, power & status. Must be a living hell for Grover. Flag waving scum? Think you are making things up again. Or is that another one of your 'stonewall FACTS'?

I'm not suggesting that at all,I have had to live in and work in many environments I did not care for not everything was bleak and found working for change much more positive than using up energy worrying about how bad it all was. There is not one eutopian country in this world the challenge is how do we make it more inclusive with fair share for everyone.

Great idea what would you spend your annual saving of £1.24 on ?. Maybe two kitkat bars with 4p in change.

Well most likely that £81m could go to those who need it, rather than propping up the rich? I like the royals, but you can’t surely think that the money couldn’t go to a better cause when they sit in millions of wealth?

Is there a difference between private wealth for private matters and the taxpayer funds spent on public duties demanded of a Head of State?

Stop paying the Queen and strip her of her role as head of State. That's that sorted.

Stop paying the Queen and strip her of her role as head of State. That's that sorted. Still need a Head of State, costs will remain similar so not saving that much, if any, taxpayer funds.

Already do that. Sponsor a child in Cambodia, left money in my will to charity, raised £1000s for various charities over the years through running marathons and parachute jumps so I certainly don't begrudge £1.24 a year.

Good one. Well done. I still begrudge them a single penny.

They are already effectively head of state so not paying out for 2 heads of state is surely a saving?

Think you are making things up again. Or is that another one of your 'stonewall FACTS'? I think I remember you talking about 'Flag Wavers'. Maybe it was Yatton calling everybody who didn't share his view, racist scum and scumbags. Forgive me, but it's quite difficult to differentiate the 2 of you, as your warped rhetoric in your posts are pretty much identical. Hope I didn't cause any offence.
