I think all those teams around us have been underperforming, suddenly the fact that they’re unbeatable proves this. The difference is our players are not underperforming , they are genuinely not good enough. It’s time to take out the trash.

Barton, in his post-match debrief, also revealed “double figures” players use chewing tobacco, including while they’re training. “My first day at the training ground, there’s 11 pouches of chewing tobacco on the floor on the training pitch. I have had to say to some of the lads “what is going on here?” Credit to some of them, some have changed and turned, but the damage is done if in February I’m having to tell you to stop sticking 43g of nicotine under your top lip. What is this all about and who was allowing this before JB got here?! Rogvi Baldvinsson been hanging around the training ground?

I'll be at the mem for the next home game to tell the players exactly how I feel. I'm sure I won't be the only one.

Sounded to me as though he wasn't sure he would be here for the start of next season That's understandable given his personal issues that are pending.

Fascinating stuff.
You don't get double digits individuals using snuff by coincidence.
Didn't even realise it was illegal just thought it was unfashionable.

We’re corrupt from the inside all the way through this club - best get AC12 in here to have a go at ripping the rotten apples out! (Sorry I’ve been watching too much Line of Duty)

Well at least our players have proved that it doesn't work.
"It has yet to be scientifically proven that the use of nicotine pouches improve sporting performance, and Dr Toby Mundel – a lecturer at Massey University in New Zealand – has called for greater research into whether footballers who use the substance are gaining an unfair advantage.
The perceived increase in alertness and concentration is appears to be something that is attracting elite athletes."

No wonder we are where we are and understand Bartons rants as if this is what he came into it's totally unprofessional. Surely the coaches and previous managers knew this was going on and have done nothing about it. For me I'm glad JB is telling us all this as stories like this are usually kept quiet and we never know what is really going on behind the scenes. Heads must roll as it seems we are being run worse than a Sunday league club and hopefully the people responsible for this shambles are fired out the club asap.

Such a stupid comment, I agree. There will be about 10 or 12 still in contract for next season and if we can’t shift them they are already extremely demotivated. Quite a difference from his first interview eh? Wasn't it something along the lines of "this is an exciting group of players, when the penny drops"? This is quite true we have been nearly men, under Barton. He did look beat though. I wouldn't behave like that in public. I do remember DC going down and the dreadful start we had in the conference. I had no faith. Barton is a rat backed into a corner. He is going nowhere in management after this so if he bottles the challenge its the end of him.

Alright guys. I'm spending too much time worrying about Rovers and not enough time on important things in life so I'm taking some time off for a couple of weeks. Stay safe, guys. Stay happy. There's so much more to life. Love to all.x "Back in the morning. You'll be back in the morning...."

At this point DC was interviewing in tears. He looked emotional to me but worn down by the occasion. Reading his book, it seems to me as if this is a consequence of his upbringing, whereby showing emotions was a sign of weakness. Otherwise we may have seen someone a lot more visibly emotional.

I just hope he sees the job through. The players were a disgrace tonight.

Don't think our Joey will be joining the diplomatic core anytime soon! He is very much a Trump type character who speaks from the heart and is unable to hold back when he thinks something needs to be said. I do not think he should be lambasting the squad just prior to a make or break game, if it was done to invoke a positive 'I'll show you ' reaction it backfired and had the opposite effect. JB's appointment split the fan base as i knew it would and results have done nothing to convert the sceptics and i myself have been disappointed and surprised that he has not inspired the squad to better things. Despite all of this i still find myself supporting JB and love his passion and his belief that he can turn things around in the next couple of years, just wish that he would learn when to keep quiet! I think he understands the club and fans , believes in Wael, and we have to give him the chance to build his own team and then judge him. Three managers have failed to get this squad to perform although each has had a positive effect on different players eg Hanlan was three time the player under BG than he has been under the others. I can't see many of the squad surviving what is sure to be a major cull and hope the squad JB assembles together with a few of our own lead us to better times ahead and an instant return to tier 3. I would expect JB to field a sprinkling of future stars in the remaining games and before anyone moans that will do them more harm than good as far as i am concerned they will be selected on merit and because they 1) are better than those who have performed so poorly this season and 2) what is the point of keep repeating something which does not work! Up the Rovers ( next season)

I stated earlier that if fans from the 'Big 6' clubs can turn out in numbers outside their stadiums to voice their displeasure over the ESL, then why cant Rovers fans do it for 'OUR' club. I'm right behind you 👍
