Sounded to me as though he wasn't sure he would be here for the start of next season About 60% of those tried at crown court are found guilty and virtual all charged with ABH who have previous convictions are send down.

What is the max sentence? 5 years maximum sentence but could be a fine, community order or even a suspended sentence. If the judge considers the harm caused by an assault serious and unprovoked then prison is more likely and starting point would be 6 months up to a year (category 2 offense) A delay in hearing the case might also be a factor that would point to a lesser sentence.

Well if it’s true what Joey has said this morning, then suddenly negligence doesn’t seem too far off.

Just looked back at the goals and the first sees Williams lose his man and the second the ball just gets passed right in front of him with no attempt to block it out. Not the first time either. He always looks like he is pretending to work hard. I know some think he’s ok but a liability for me. Perhaps he didn’t want to upset his mates tonight.

The way he lost his man was reminiscent of his shocking statuesque defending for the Sunderland goal.

Good interview, a couple of points 1. Likely to be single figures left from this season = massive clear out and gives JB no excuses 2. When asked if he regretted the decision he didn't give a straight answer 3. Think there was a dig at TW regarding the fact he never would have let that group come together. I think he will give absolutely everything over the summer.. onwards and upwards So, just single figures of squad players remaining...that suggests that more players than just McCormick, Day and Oztumer will have spent their entire Rovers careers without ever playing in front of a paying gas head! Think one of them might be Ehmer after JB threw him under a bus. Westbrooke might be another given he will probably consider himself too good for league 2 after Garner created that PowerPoint presentation on him.

Barton, in his post-match debrief, also revealed “double figures” players use chewing tobacco, including while they’re training. “My first day at the training ground, there’s 11 pouches of chewing tobacco on the floor on the training pitch. I have had to say to some of the lads “what is going on here?” Credit to some of them, some have changed and turned, but the damage is done if in February I’m having to tell you to stop sticking 43g of nicotine under your top lip. What is this all about and who was allowing this before JB got here?! Professional footballers smoking at all is a shocker to me. If true. What the F###!

Fascinating stuff. You don't get double digits individuals using snuff by coincidence. Didn't even realise it was illegal just thought it was unfashionable. Snuff, or chewing tobacco? Either way, to hear this has been going on is a disgrace.

Another diversion tactic.
So if the players were using Snus under Tisdale in February and Barton noticed it in February I assume he banned it straight away.
So why is he raising it in April?
Maybe because he has 0.73PPG and only won 3 out of 15 games?

We’re corrupt from the inside all the way through this club - best get AC12 in here to have a go at ripping the rotten apples out! (Sorry I’ve been watching too much Line of Duty) “There’s one thing I’m interested in and only one thing and that’s bent footballers...!”

There's this little thing that people in high profile roles of responsibility need, and that's called "professionalism". Honesty is fine up to a point, but too much honesty and your role will be compromised and the whole thing can fall apart. You don't have to lie either, just check yourself before you say anything dangerous. Barton simply lets words come out before he thinks about what the consequences of those words will be. He has to motivate his players, that's his job. To state to the press that he wouldn't have signed a single one of them, is basically throwing them under the bus. THAT is when honesty becomes carelessness. And that's putting it mildly. There was little prospect of us avoiding relegation once Wigan and Wimbledon started winning games when our only hope was always that there would be 4 teams worse than us, Barton's just telling the truth, perhaps it's something we've needed as a club for years instead of just avoiding the issues. Barton is not some consultant who has come in to find fault , write a report and sod off. He is here to manage the team and get results. So far he has failed. He may not like it...you may not like it...but that's the truth.

They'll have only he here if they are happy to take a big pay cut and then be content to train with the U23's, JB doesn't give the impression he'll let them have an easy life if they decide to stay at the club. Unfortunately you can’t just give under contract players a pay cut. Let’s hope they at least have a relegation pay cut clause in their contracts, but knowing Rovers I doubt it! or hopefully they have a clause that if relegated they can leave as free agents !!

Anyone else just wish the season was over and they could just go through the next few weeks without a care for football? Don’t think I’ve ever cared about a Rovers side less than this one.
