Stand by my previous comments about needing another left back, right back, centre back, a central midfielder and centre forward. I never want to see Anderson as a left wingback again, he looked lost out there. Looks one hell of a player when he's running at the opposition but he was all over the place defensively today. A reliable backup for Clarke is needed.

So make that three players if we want to sign anyone else.

So Keynsham Rover you don't want to see Anderson as left wing back again but the same yesterday could be said of Rodman at right wing back where we were also torn apart and yet the game before people were raving about both!! I am not a great admirer of the three at the back but most teams play it. If you are going to find fault with individuals yesterday the look no further than the centre backs who were dreadful but just as easy you could look at the midfield and forwards. Yesterrday was just a dreadful start by the team and just got worse and worse. Who would have thought that a Crawley team who had Tony Craig at the back would lose 6-3 at Forest Green. It was a bad day at the office-it happens.

Anybody know when Pablo Martinez is likely to be available he is a defender as well as playing in midfield he can not be any worse than are present centre backs

Rodman was nowhere near as poor as Anderson, both had shockers (alongside the back 3 as you say) but Anderson was absolutely skinned those first 30 minutes, Exeter were clearly targeting him.

Could see from minute 1 that everything was coming from the flanks, and we did nothing to adjust even after the third went in.

Jake Caprice was playing left wing back for Exeter, has no left foot and our fall back kept showing him the inside so he could use his right. At no stage did Barton spot this and Caprice ended up being one of Exeter's best players on the day.

The problem with a back 3 is always going to be the wings and the best way to overcome it is to pressurise the opponents defenders as a team and get your wingbacks to have the upperhand. hughes was poor on the first two goals.

I read that differently to the poster I read that as Clarke and whelan have been in the club but not on trial just us having a look at them as he goes on to name them in the next couple of paragraphs 🤷♂️

Main problem was we let Matt Jay unmarked all first half and he ran the show! Plus Baldwin and Hughes were too slow! I have seen better Sunday League defending!

I thought being on trial was having a look at them and inviting them to training, which is exactly what we’ve done?

Have no idea if it would be possible or if they would even be available but the two villa youngsters tonight, chukwuemeka and archer look great prospect and I think they could do a job here on loan. Both look exactly the type of players we need

Both look exactly the type of players we need Don't think they would loan Chukwuemeka to this level as he's one of the most promising players in the country at his age group, but Archer might be a possibility as they loaned him to Solihull last season where he got 4 goals in 26 National League games.

They did nick two of our young prospects off us, maybe we can guilt trip them into loaning us one of these two?!!
