Is nicky ajose still without a club?maybe worth a shout I think so but has only ever done well at Swindon. Id rather we got a bigger presence up front. I did mention Ollie Hawkins on here while he was still at Portsmouth before he went to Mansfield. Someone like him would be ideal

Danny Hylton or Ellis Harrison should both be achievable for us? I wouldn’t mind either of them here

If we signed the Elis Harrison that left us- we'd walk promotion in my opinion.
When he left he'd become so good at winning duels and bringing others into the game. Exactly what we need for the our speedy attckers to work off.
My fear (if he did come) he's no longer that guy.

I c Ellis Harrison off to Oxford United according to social media joining up with the snake then Ellis still with Pompey and Oxford have brought players in up front this summer. He's probably fourth choice now as I don't think he fits in with what the manager is trying to do. He's been unfortunate with us as I think he came in as a first choice but then another striker unexpectedly became available and he dropped down the pecking order before the season had started. When he has got in he's had the odd niggle here and there which has disrupted any momentum. It's a shame as he comes across really well in terms of his attitude, application and character but suspect it's just one of those instances where something doesn't quite work out.
I think in a normal summer he'd already be somewhere else. Taking self-interest out of the equation I'd love to see him get a good move for him this summer as he deserves to get a run somewhere and it isn't going to happen with us unless something very bizarre happens in the next few weeks.

Hope he does ok .... Loan could be a good option for him.
Hopefully Barrett and Westbrooke will be off soon as well.

Let’s hope Hargreaves follows Liddle out of the door

ben tozer left Cheltenham to go to Wrexham. They must be splashing money around and potentially going for the same players as us.

Pompey forum suggest Ellis would be on his way…..but anyway. I’m sure he would get a LGE1 move. Who knows !
From the forum…. I would think that the most likely players to leave are Curtis & Harrison. Danny Cowley said that he is prepaired to play the waiting game as prices will go down the nearer we get to the window close. That might well be so but the same could be said for the players he is trying to sell and I would think that Pompey will have to drop the asking price for Curtis. I have mixed feelings about seeing Curtis go though. While I don't think he is as good as he, and his mum, thinks he is he is still an effective player. I don't think he is Championship class but he is a goal threat at this level and from that perspective I would be happy if he stayed. The thing is that if he doesn't go now his value will drop the nearer we get to next season. Plus getting enough money in for him would give us the boost of more players in the Cowley mould.

So Keynsham Rover you don't want to see Anderson as left wing back again but the same yesterday could be said of Rodman at right wing back where we were also torn apart and yet the game before people were raving about both!! I am not a great admirer of the three at the back but most teams play it. If you are going to find fault with individuals yesterday the look no further than the centre backs who were dreadful but just as easy you could look at the midfield and forwards. Yesterrday was just a dreadful start by the team and just got worse and worse. Who would have thought that a Crawley team who had Tony Craig at the back would lose 6-3 at Forest Green. It was a bad day at the office-it happens. The issue is surely at home they play like wingers with little need to tackle, away from home they need to play like full backs but neither seems to be that great a tackler/defender. To be a decent wing back you need to be a player like Leadbitter or Leary, I fear that neither of them is capable of playing that role, hopefully, Clarke's back tomorrow and he is a genuine LWB, although that then still leaves the RWB role only covered by Rodman. For all Barton's chopping and changing the squad still seems lacking.
