Seen a post or two in the last ten minutes or so. I am somewhat sceptical of the truth in them, but will be interesting to see if this has legs...

I doubt it is to be honest, and expect it to just be the usual social media rumour but it’s one that has a big impact on the structure so we shall see!

On which platform? Got any screenshots It's literally just a bloke on Facebook saying he had heard from a "good source" that TW has resigned. In other words; highly likely to be nonsense.

Widdrington cant be feeling very wanted at the moment. I've seen loads of Twitter posts from fans asking Wael to sack him and linking both their @ names in (and even Bartons!)
Eg;

True or not, at least it’s a step in the right direction. Quite possibly negotiations are happening now as to an exit strategy that saves everyone’s face. Do we really need a DoF in the fourth division?

I've made some enquires on this. What I've heard so far is there is no truth in those rumours.

Eg; Always feel uncomfortable when people tag whoever they want sacked/released/not selected in their posts on social media. Like fine have your opinion, but no need to actually tag them in it is there? Can’t be very good for Tommy’s or anyone’s mental health to open their phone one day and find loads of alerts for messages calling for them to be sacked from their employment. Same goes for people that tag Wael in angry messages.

No I don’t agree with that because footballers and ex footballers are on social media for the same reason the rest of us are, to catch up with family and friends, watch funny cat videos, get in contact with who they need to ect. I think some fans just need to have a bit more recognition of the effects their posts are going to have on the recipient if they are directly tagging them in it.

So many people typing nasty flippant sh**e on social media just because they can, without thinking for a second how it might affect the individual.

I agreed with your first post on tagging, but tbh I disagree with this one. Although I don't have twitter, my understanding is that it's not really a platform for catching up with friends & family. Most of the profiles are 'professionally' done - they put their titles on there & bio, they want people to follow them due to their job. So it's got to work both ways. In terms of following any content they want to, I imagine most would have another profile with a fake name of some sort. If I was relatively famous and my name was known to the public, I would change my Facebook name to something else, so that I can have some sort of anonymity.

I think the comment 'Can we afford a Director of Football in Division 4?" is a good one AND could be the easy get out for Wael ... We can't and would make a good reason for Widdrington to clear his desk.
Can we also afford the Fraud Starnes, should also be reviewed - Little if any constructive output, shocking decision making and possibly THE Arch Villain in this woeful Pantomime.

When we got relegated to the National league r director of football John Ward was sacked so the same thing should happen to Widdrington
