Big Congrats to Brentford, I'm so pleased for them. If they can do it then why can't we...... Guess I will still be asking that Question in 20 years when I'm not far off 70? Its about time BRFC started to show the same bloody desire' Stadium would be a major start! "why can't we" probably something to do with not having the £100m(?) their owner has spent on building their new ground? Once not long ago financially they were on a par with us, I know nothing about there owners but surely we could follow there example...... Maybe for some reason Wael don't have a spare few million to rebuild the Mem or a new site. Nothing will change sadly

Did not see game but it seems Chelsea, not for the first time, had the measure of City? that's a lot of 'accumulators' gone west on here!

The stadium cost just over £70m and over the last five years the club have sold players for a combined value of £150m. Do you think we could borrow their Head of Recruitment? It's an ideology and philosophy rather than any one individual. The owner Matthew Benham had a vision of how he wanted his club to be run and was brave enough to stick with it. Lee Dykes, the club’s current head of recruitment who has been there since 2019, said: “Matthew will tell you himself that we never want to be in a position where we have to outspend our competitors – we out think them. That’s why it’s such an innovative club and everything recruitment wise is geared towards that philosophy.” Director of Football Rasmus Ankersen has said: “Recruitment is the bread and butter of Brentford because we have one of the lowest revenues in the league. We need to make the business sustainable by buying cheap and selling expensive, which is what we’ve done over the last few years. “It comes down to not only being able to identify undervalued talent in the market but also we invest a lot in the development of players. We invest in different types of specialists, whether it be sleep coaches, kicking coaches, to try and raise the level of the players who come in."

Personally, looking forward to the Indy 500 later. A couple of Brits in Jack Harvey and Max Chilton to cheer on too.
Interestingly, Harvey is a massive Lincoln fan and is apparently having the progress of the game radioed to him via his engineer. Whilst doing sub-230 mph!!

I didnt ever expect Blackpool to get promoted after we beat them in January. Just shows the importance of strengthening in that window......
