I wonder if Joey watched the new BBC drama last night Time. Blades fan and football player Sean Bean has got a spare bed in his cell after the demise of Bernard. There are some nasty scousers in that prison which Joey could sort out ! Love stephen Graham he can play Joey in his life story! Thought it was dark but good, and the last thing I would want to watch the night before the big house!

A bit about Csoka for anyone interested: He exclusively defends in serious and complex crime. ... and apparently any other case with a wealthy defendant. Sounds like the sort of bloke with 30 goals a season in him. Get him signed

“Mr Goldsack drew jurors’ attentions to a number of photographs of the tunnel area at Oakwell before going on to describe what happened next.
He said: “As Mr Stendel walked through the tunnel, the defendant ran past a number of people and entered the tunnel behind him.
“Mr Stendel felt a push from behind and fell forward, hitting his face against part of the tunnel structure.
“He looked up and saw the defendant passing him. Mr Barton made no apology, and did nothing to acknowledge what had taken place.”

"The most serious injuries he sustained were to his mouth, including an upper right incisor being moved back out of the bone with some associated nerve damage,” Mr Goldsack continues.
“It is unlikely there will be any dispute Mr Stendel received injuries amounting to actual bodily harm, as set out in the indictment.
“The issues are likely to be whether Mr Stendel fell forwards, colliding with the tunnel structure and thereby sustaining those injuries, as the result of an unlawful assault; and, if he did, whether it was Mr Barton who is responsible for that assault.”

I thought he was alleged to have pushed, punched and head butted him? Alleged on Gas Chat yes. Doesn’t stack up in a court of law. Unless any of the above were said twice, in which case…..

'A deliberate act'
Mr Goldsack added that the only other eye witness to provide a statement as to how Stendel came by his injuries is the Barnsley first team performance analyst intern Nathan Kirby.
Mr Goldsack told the jury: “He was a few paces behind Mr Stendel as they entered the tunnel.
“As he got halfway along the tunnel he felt someone brush past his right shoulder. He was surprised anyone should be running in the tunnel and turned to see who it was and recognised Mr Barton.
“As the defendant passed ahead of him Mr Barton moved to his left to where Mr Stendel was walking and pushed against him from behind, whilst continuing to jog forwards. As described by Mr Kirby, a deliberate act done with enough force to knock someone off-balance, which of course is precisely what happened.”

Sounds like he’s getting charged with ABH at a minimum then.

From the sounds of it a cowardly unprovoked attack from behind that gave Stendel some fairly nasty injuries. If Joey’s going to produce some cast iron evidence that the witness is making it up, the footage is wrong and Stendel tripped then fair enough.

All we have to go on 15:05 ALEX EVANS Footage shown to the court Footage shown to the court showed the two managers heading down the tunnel, with Barton running into the tunnel and out of vision. The tunnel is seen to shake and, from another camera angle, Mr Stendel can be seen with blood on his face.
