Hanlans 8 goals in League 1 could easily become 15 in League 2. Ayun ga is up and coming and IMO is worth persevering with.I do agree we should have another striker in of the targetman type. Personally I would loan out Walker and also Liddle and Hargreaves.

Still think there’s probably 1 more to come in. Just my thoughts, not itk or anything. It’s a long season and a couple of injuries can make life very difficult as we found out last season. Hopefully your right. There's 2 more months of the transfer window, but it would be good to get an experienced striker with a good goalscoring record in the next few weeks.

Still think we are lacking another 'number 9' option. Ffs...number 9...🥱 Why can't we just say we need a big target man instead of a false 9 or whatever lingo Sky and Pep has pushed into our mind in the past few years! No offense to you, I just hate terms like " a false number 9" or number 10 etc.. Oh how I long for a return of the Fergie and Keegan days of football!

Matty Taylor 28 goals in 4 years before joining us. JCH 29 goals in 7 years before joining us. Hardly fantastic records. Taylor scored 6 goals in 7 games whilst on loan at Chester before he joined us, I sense "richard" was joking but actually he was right about Taylor. As far as our strike force, as Barton confirmed the four players mentioned in the OP will be our striker force this season, as I wouldn't be surprised if Ayunga and/or Hanlan departed, given Williams departed today. Matty Taylor scored 6 goals in 7 games on loan at Chester mid season and then went back to FGR and finished the season with 0 goals in 12 games. That’s fantastic is it? If so, Saunders scored 6 in 3 games at one point for Fleetwood last season and Collins scored 4 in 4 games to end the season. When will people learn to stop writing off players before they’ve kicked a ball for us?

Still think JB has more plans here … Another one, maybe two in and certainly one out, either permanently or on loan.

Jonah Ayunga Age 24 League games 20 goals 2. goal ratio 1/10 Aaron Collins Age 24 League games 82 goals 14. goal ratio 1/6 Brandon Hanlan Age 24 League games 145 goals 20. goal ratio 1/7 Harvey Saunders Age 24 League games 29 goals 3. goal ratio 1/10 So what do you think, a strong line up of strikers? Age is certainly on their side if nothing else. Anyone see a 15-20 goal a season player there? Hanlan looks the best? but we all saw him play last season Who will Barton pick, can't see him playing all four at best it's two of them but which two? Hopefully, Joey will also bring in a big strong experienced goal scoring journey man to play at number 9, and play a three up top, with Aaron and Harvey either side of a new 9. We all saw that Jonah and Brandon could not play together and or score enough goals last season, which is why BRFC is now in Div 2. That said, Jonah and Brandon now have a chance in preseason to prove us all wrong, and must say I cannot wait to see how these boys perform over at Melksham on Friday.

I watched all the playoff games and thought Collins looked excellent for FGR. Very skill full and quite exciting player…. Have high hopes for him in the quarters.

Still think JB has more plans here … Another one, maybe two in and certainly one out, either permanently or on loan. Let's be blunt if JB is serious about a promotion push he needs a proven goalscorer not strikers who've never previously managed to even get into double figures. As far as SteveK suggesting we should loan out Walker, given we're now a L2 club do we really want to loan him out to a NL side? That's something we should seriously consider doing with Ayunga if he's still here at the start of the season, but given the "reset" so far I'd be surprised if he given his in inability to take relatively easy chances.

Probably need over 60 goals for promotion. 45 from front three, 20 from elsewhere. Need goals from many places.

Has anyone kept track of how many players have left now? That should give us an idea of how many more we'll sign before the end of the window.

Players still seem to be leaving on a weekly basis so it's impossible to know which players will still be here at the start of the season, from memory these are the only 1st teamers left: Jaakkola Kilgour Harries Baldwin Barrett Nicholson Hanlan Ayunga Hargreaves Walker Martinez
