Ayunga is non league at best, unless he has rapidliy improved over the summer, which I doubt Proper ray of sunshine and optimism aren’t ya! It was his first season in the football league after jumping up a couple of divisions. He didn’t get any sort of consistent run in the team, played under 4 managers, in a much changed and unsettled side that were the worst in the division. I think he deserves a fresh start with a full pre-season before he gets criticised and torn apart. He showed some real promise at times, in a weak team too. I’ll be cheering him on and hoping he plays like he did when we had a few glimpses of what he can bring to the party last season. I didnt tear him apart, or critcise him, what I said was (the long version) Last season he played like a non league player. He could run forward (and score) but his first touch wasn't brilliant and he struggled when he had his back to the goal. I think he lacks awareness and anticipation and you need both of them to be a reasonable striker . At the moment I think he is lacking and whilst he did well in non league unless he improves thats where he will end up, lets face it, every one at the club is one step from non league at the moment.

Assuming the younger squad players from last season do not constitute the permissible 24 max squad number by my counting we now have 22 first teamers We still lack in that number a 2nd choice keeper , (Ward not ready yet?) so are we stiil expecting a lead striker to complete our squad?

I reckon overall our first team squad at present -- counting under 21's and new signings is about 26. So if we are to purchase another Goalie, 2 Right backs and a Striker . At least 4 or maybe 5 will probably be offloaded ( If we can ).

JB has said he wants to get four out, with at least one right back a target man and goalie needed, his target of off loading up to four players is about right.

If we had started the 19/20 season with Wycombes squad, I reckon this place would have been doom and gloom..
Way too much focus on individual capabilities and stats, with lack of attention on some of the other facets of a successful side.
Making players feel welcome and wanted is a modern day contributor, but that notion seems lost by many on forums. Motivation is not just about the contract and salary. Perhaps the forum should send a card of support to the manager and players as opposed to micro analysing and finding faults with lg2 players and stiffs?

I do hope we're still in for another striker. Happy with the rest of the squad but we do need a experienced front man

We are still short of three or four players and I am sure JB is aware of that. From yesterdays team i imagine only Hughes, Anderton,Saunders and Collins are thought of by JB of being starters. I can see Ward, Hoole, Jones,Walker and Martinez being loaned out and Hargreaves,Liddell,Westbrooke,Barrett,Harries, and Baldwin at least half of them being paid up and or transferred out. The other youngsters are first year and their time may come although I am not convinced that our set up is good enough and we might be better off just signing young players from other clubs to make up our squad. We have now signed 10 players who you think would be in front of most players we had last season and I would not be at all surprised to see this rise to 14 signings by the first game. Only Annsi, Kilgour, Nicholson, Hanlan and Rodman are probably likely to be with us. Interesting times ahead-fasten the seatbelt tightly for the ride!!!
