I've never been very good at social interaction so I've never posted much, but been reading Rovers forums since 2005. You don't seem to see many posters from that era on here these days: Steve Slade, William Bloke, the mad Welsh lady with dogs who's name I've forgotten etc.
Anyone on here from that era, any other good memories people want to share? Sorry if it offends but do think the forum was better back in those days.

Lingering mostly since 2010/11ish I think, didn’t post match back then as I could only get to the London matches.
Started posting mainly 2015/16 odd. Did makes a few posts back in the old forum but not a lot.

Relative 'newbie' myself , about 4 years, got interested after reading match reports on i think 'supporters club' web site. A chap called Nathen Bees used to post some excellent match reports which i thoroughly enjoyed, don't know what he 's up to now, may even be on here in another guise!

I was only a reader of the original official forum and remember the legal intervention which culminated in its demise. However the phoenix like rise of Gaschat was inspirational, giving rise to legendary threads on bear wrestling and massive spiders. Signed up about six years ago and have to say that it feels good to be on the inside and part of the Rovers/Gaschat family. I love the sense of humour (especially BJ..who doesn’t) and have learned, over time, to ignore the moaning. It’s my “go to” for the latest news and rumours and I have to check at least four or five times a day, which I think shows a healthy interest as opposed to a narrow minded neurotic obsession. UTG, and thanks to the Mods and anyone else behind the scenes for keeping this going. 👏 😊

I want to know what happened to that young girl who was obsessed with Sammy Igoe. Maybe there's a link as to why ex players haven't heard from Sammy in years??

started on the gas list before forums were a thing (email group chat)
Then when the official forum started I joined that until Higgsy shut it down
Joined this forum when it replaced the official one

my one claim to fame was a complete meltdown of both forums we me being interviewed by the police...
this is a great place for banter and some serious stuff, long may it continue !

Started on 606 in about 06/07 with the likes of Captain Jack Sparrow; then that ended soon after so over to the old official forum.
When that closed the old AF and then quickly here with a bit of two timing for a while.

I was Cyprusgas back in 1994, you could listen to the radio Bristol web stream live for free through the old Rovers site in those days.

Started on Not606, then the official,then here pretty much as soon as it appeared. I did join Gas Guzzler but posted twice I think. Always had the same username on all sites. Although I think there used to be another Somerset back in the day.
