I'm quite confused as to why this rift has even happened in the first place. Evidently the SC have gripes, but I can't see why, beyond the assumption that they simply don't like the fact that they became more irrelevant once the Al Qadi's took over? I sense it's mistrust even this week posters on the other forum were suggesting JC should keep the money to save the club for when Wael quits and leaves us debt ridden. I missed that. If so, it is laughable.

Ah, sorry. Innocent mistake. It was a genuine question dudnt realise there was some history there? We had a lively debate about how many members there are in the President's Club. Still no answer except from Henbury and no-one believes him. 🤔

Ultimately Wael will decide what happens to the shares as they cannot be transferred to a new owner with out his/the boards permission. The shares are actually held in the names of individuals of the SC committee and not the SC as it wan't legally possible for the SC to own them. Thanks. It seems all these calls to transfer to the Community Trust can come to nothing. If fans are not happy with the SC they need to step forward to join the committee and exert some influence rather than griping all the time. Unless things have changed, that's easier said than done. Used to be very cliquey, and if you didn't know the right people you had no chance of getting voted on.

I can only guess which individuals they were! I just don’t understand this Wael is gonna walk away and leave us in the s*it narrative…. Nothing Wael has said so far or has done points to that or even suggests it - in fact quite the opposite!? I can only guess that they don’t like or trust a foreign owner???

Wael is a Naive but moral man.
He made mistakes that he thought could make us great. He should have engaged a business manager to make us profitable so slow change instead of these incredible gambles
At least the last gambling game gives us hope. The refs still on guard against Joey which is his biggest gamble. Watching tings on Tusday there is a team that can gel Lets pray and wish our troubled helsman well

Thas he, although not his reptilian form. His reproductive organs are situated under his right armpit, this can get quite embarrassing when he uses public toilets. And welcome back 4th! 👍.

Other than block candidates, fail to have any kind of communication with members and not actually hold any votes as has been the case since I joined.

If enough people joined and voted they couldn’t do a thing about it. Very true, I re-joined a couple of seasons ago, mainly in order to get a vote, although there's been nothing to vote for yet! I was referring to "ye olden days", when communication from the SC was more postal than electronic. By the time you received the notice of the AGM, the deadline for proposing prospective Committee members had passed. When we queried this at the meeting, we were met with horrified stares - "incomers, burn them at the stake" - although they eventually agreed that they would look into publicising the cut of date for nominations in future.

I don't think we did give email addresses then, the SC hadn't got to grips with that new-fangled interweb thing.

I can see both sides to this.
On one hand, the supporters club is saying that they don't want to give £50k to a company that is not directly owned by Bristol Rovers. The company is a connected by the ownership of Wael but is not owned. So they think they are giving the £50k directly to Wael which maybe against the finer detail of the arrangement in 2017.
Wael is saying, you promised the £50k and now you are going back on that promise. You have been a pain in my ass for the last 5 years and you continue to do so. He has put £3m into the club in the last year and the £50k is just water in the ocean in comparison.
I am pro Wael, he has put his money where his mouth is and I firmly believe that without him we wouldn't have a club.
However, I would have thought that there was some middle ground to be had here. I watched the Aaron Collins interview and he mentioned that the gym facilities were fantastic. So, things are moving in the right direction at the colony. I think the supporters club want something tangible that they can turn around and say, we paid for that and just handing over the £50k doesn't achieve that. When people bought 50/50 tickets, if they knew that the money was going to go to another one of Waels companies would they have still bought the ticket?
There must be £50k of spend at the colony that can be identified that the supporters club can pay for and 'own'.
This £50k on something that is owned by the SC would only be an issue if Wael was to try and sell The Colony.
Weighing up in my own tiny mind, I think the supporters club probably have a point.
However the way they are behaving is childish and hostile which I don't agree with.

When people bought 50/50 tickets, did they know that 50% of the proceeds would be held in the supporters club bank account and not used for he purpose outlined in the competition rules?

Is that the case, I thought the money being held back was the proceeds from the sell of the Supporters Club shop?
