So it's now the day after and i think we can look for positives of being out of this cup comp. And they are to win promotion we want to play the least amount of games, more games played mean more injured key players take Bliss yesterday might be out for the next game who knows.Promotion is the only thing i want this year don't care about any cups TBH. UTG.. Winning breeds wins and a settled side. Losing breeds a bad atmosphere and tinkering. Agree it does. But now we are out of the cups our soul focus is promotion because that is something we can win.

I wanted to win the Trophy, but we're out so that's over. Fair enough. Looking up from the carnage of yesterday, we now have only the league and that is all that matters. We are 3rd with over half the season gone. We may or may not catch Barnet, but we are looking very credible for the playoffs. As someone said on here the other day, the playoffs are not a lottery, any more than the semis of a cup are a lottery. We have been very tough to beat - in the league (he quickly added) and would have an excellent chance of getting through those two legs and into a Wembley showdown. And, as I look out of my window, the sun is shining! [/quota] In 5 games time we will really know where we are. We've a really tough run coming up and we could end up way off the pace if it all goes tits up. They need to get Saturday out of their systems fast. Fortunately the players who had the worst games aren't usually in our League XI.

Looks like Barnet knocked out tonight as well. Lost 6-2 at home to Concord Rangers

I don't think it helps that 'losing to Bath' is quite embarrassing on a local level - maybe in the long run it will do us good. Clearly someone like Martin Allen sees no real worth in the FA Trophy, and many on here think he was the man to take us forward.
As far as I'm concerned, win on Friday and the game against Bath is forgotten as we push on for a play-off spot. However, I'm a little worried that the Bath game may have destroyed the confidence of one or two players.
