Quite worrying accounts by the Swindon chap & the stories heard from those South of the River. I have a terrace ticket and hope there will be no issue with overcrowding, Mr Vince seems to turn a blind eye to any feedback that has come about the last few weeks/months.

He's gone full troll mode rather than turning a blind eye! Hopefully it's not as bad as it has been for the six fingered fans previously. Good luck!

Very strange how so many people get so agitated about other people making life adjustments š¤£ Why feel the need to get angry that others are trying to do less harm to the planet, less harm to animals, and potentially less harm to their bodies? Very odd thing to get offended by!

Ridiculous to talk of overcrowding tbh, steps are a little shallow but certainly no overcrowding, gashead all my life but coach in the academy at FGR and attend many games when no clash with ourselves, was at the game against City and quite clear visible spaces on away terrace from the stand opposite where I was sitting, if you congregate in one area instead of spreading out what do you expect!

Like not having a holiday in the Caribbean, but in Skegness. Like not eating meat, but eating legumes. Like not having abundant power, but having scarce and expensive power (even though everyone knows nuclear is there shouting āhere!ā but they donāt want to know . That really is weird isnāt it? The solution is right there but they prefer to just tell you to accept less instead) Like being cold instead of being warm. None of these choices actually improve living standards. It reminds me of George Carlin ā religion has got you believing that thereās a magical man in the sky who watches everything you do and he has a list 10 things you should always do, and if you donāt he will damn you for eternity. But he loves you, and he needs moneyā Cant help but think that someone has got the world convinced that the end is nigh and to save it we need to give up notions of personal enrichment and accept a subsistence lifestyle - whereas those who educated you need not, as their work is vital and importantā It is a bit strange how it gives those people everything theyāve ever wanted - strong social controls, a two tier society to Keep the plebs off the nice holiday spots. An empowered technocratic class and a lumpen proletariat, weakened from a lack of protein and decent food sources and huddling together for warmth under a crap air pump heating system. And of course - none of this can be discussed and debated. It has to happen NOW ! No time to lose or the world may end! I smell a rat being honest. Then you are misinformed, or paranoid. If you smell a rat, perhaps you should catch it and eat it instead š Theres a rat in me kitchen what Iām a gonna do?

My children would have to make some horrific choices. So thatās a real life issue causes by other peoples campaigning. Itās not live and let live, a lot of these folks want to restrict how I live mine.

Nothing you personally do is going to change whatās going to happen. As I say, get ready for living standards to plummet. Bags or no bags, in 5 years air travel will be a luxury, meat will be off the chart, we will have or be about to have a digital currency and a social credit system. This is all happening under the watch of a conservative government, nobody voted for any of this, but itās been arranged. Good luck! We are in the post Democratic age! Whatdo you not get with the example Aghast used? Quite clearly one person isn't going to make a difference but if everyone made a change it would make a difference. Are you happy seeing plastic wash up on beaches? Do you enjoy seeing the rainforests destroyed for agriculture? To be honest your attitude is laughable and thankfully seems to be in the minority now. And you come across as someone who spends far too much time reading conspiracy theories. Are you happy seeing the stats on single parent fatherless homes and the social issues it causes? Are you happy with the knife crime epidemic? Just as an example, 2 right of centre viewpoints that never get any attention. Nobody is calling a summit to sort this out, despite it hurting millions and killing many each year? Itās funny how itās kind of left of centre things which get all the airtime and action isnāt it.

I guess if you turn it into a political football right v left youāll always find something to deflect attention away from it. But that often happens, itās a classic form of deflection and misdirection. The problem is far bigger than politics. If you choose not to see it that way fair enough but many people do. Whatās happening to the environment is real and potentially life changing eventually and it will be our grandchildren and beyond in years to come who will be at the thin end of it. Some want to make it a better, more sustainable world, others look for reasons not to or deny the problem. Iām glad politicians (some) are eventually giving the problem the high profile it needs although itās a shame that itās taken the younger (very younger) generations to shame them into action. Some obviously worry about the problem more than others who prefer to see it as a personal attack on their āfreedomsā. In the end people will either choose to do what they can or not. UTG! edit: Sorry mods realised Iāve stepped into stuff more General Section rather than moaning at FGR! To even it up looking at that photograph about destroying tickets they really are a bunch of arrogant sods who glory in stopping others from seeing their team.

Ah the old "why is this getting attention, when that is clearly a problem too".
It reminds me of the poster who thought that the infrastructure shouldn't be improved, because the team was what needed the attention. Of course, it's impossible to discuss and plan for change more than one issue at ONCE!!!!
GoA you talk some sense but you don't half talk utter BS too.

One thing ALL clubs could do, is include a public transport ticket with the matchday ticket. Something they do in Germany.
Would encourage people to get public transport instead of driving. I know its not practical for everyone, but a small step in the right direction.

Yeah, the very younger generations who came to these conclusions all on their own. Anyone with kids knows, they have their own political spectrum, fully understand the issues and donāt believe what their teachers/parents say. Itās why so many Christian parents bring up Islamic children. The science has been there for many years showing a deteriorating situation. Itās taken some very young people to give it a high profile. Our leaders didnāt lead until they were almost shamed into it and thatās why I suggested it was shameful. UTG! The science showed an ice age coming in the 1970s and 1980s. If we had acted on āthe scienceā then we would have been trying to warm the planet. Whatās actually happened is that young, impressionable minds have been told that there is a doomsday event coming. This has been manipulated into a generational conflict, and the children are basically pawns of their educators, who want to see radical changes, a lot of which threatens peoples jobs and livelyhoods - but thankfully for them, not the academic institutions, for which this is a massive benefit. They then use children as a human shield, and try to pass off what is basically indoctrination as āthe children have spoken!ā A five minute conversation with your average young person will leave virtually no doubt they donāt know their backside from a barn door and merely take on what is the most socially acceptable opinion, especially in the view of their educators. The quicker we can turn education into an open place with an exchange of ideas, rather than a highly politicised place which it is today, the better. All those kids arenāt old enough to do their own research, they are literally being told what to think. You can get kids to believe in anything, which is why ideologues go after them. If you genuinely think that this is the youth of the world uniting and leading the way for the old, then thereās nothing I can do to help you. Go and immerse yourself in the broadsheet narrative which feels so comfortable because if you canāt see this is manufactured and a cynical way to pass off political moves as some kind of organic, hold hands under a rainbow, young people wag the finger at the old type thing then agreement wonāt be reached. Gretaās own conservative upbringing I guess is a case in point. Ah, wait. Sorry, no, her parents are activists arenāt they. Iām sure she would be a campaigner anyway regardless.
