Not sure if your last sentence is directed at me personally, but clearly it has mattered and offended some for BA to make the change.

Some things should be cancelled and some on the left and the right absolutely invent new things to be offended by.

I personally see no issue with replacing "Hello Ladies and Gentlemen " with "Hello everyone "

If that offends someone, they are a bellend.

Likewise, if someone was offended because their niche (albeit legitimate) gender identity isn't addressed specifically in a generic announcement then they really need to have a long look at themselves.

Personally if someone looks talks and acts like a woman I will use female pronouns unless asked to do otherwise. Same goes for males. If someone wants me to use they/them then I'm happy to do so.

My experience in real life is that if you are honest and have good intentions and you care about the well being of others its really not that difficult to not cause offence and to not be offended.

We are all too long dead to get upset by the sexuality in one small diversity promo of a fictional character aren't we???

It's up to BA why they made the change, if you don't like it don't use them, it's simple isn't it. Most people don't have a big enough ego to care.

There is a serious discussion to have about political correctness but people like you just fall in to the trap of being reactionary and can't get out of it. It's sad to see.

Very harsh from the mods and just comes across as controlling. Agree with our opinion or be banned is what it comes across as.

In Icegas defence this very topic was brought up in the office today at work and 99% of the room had nearly the same opinion as him.

Could the opposite not be said that if you identify as non binary and don't like the fact BA use ladies and Gentlemen then don't use them!
I really don't care whether you identify yourself as non binary,Male , Female or Martian it makes no odds to me I just don't think making all these changes to please the minority is always right.
Just this week we've learned the Brits (I think) are to withdraw best Male and best female artist awards (I know that will please Sam Smith). Why not have 3 awards then everybody would be happy.

How dare you tarnish my memory of Santa. He's a nice heterosexual gentleman who has missionary intercourse with his lady wife once a year after the pressie run. Hes tired but accepts it is good for the relationship and takes a stiff upper lip approach to the matter, as he should, being British of course. In earnest, she accepts his irritating beard. Its a symbiosis. No funny business. Unless we are talking about the Santa who sits outside Primark doing photographs. Not certain he's been DBS checked.

I also asked everyone I work with and 99% agreed that conversation therapy doesn't work and that nothing they see on the telly effects their biological development or sexual preferences. That said, I work with some right twats.
