Thread should be blocked to stop the armchair barristers, conspiracy theorists and JB haters from posting - It's over Correct and so is the Stendel affair for which JB was in court 5 days after this incident - that possibly was causing stress? I am amazed at how well he coped through that debacle and now this. Seems to me we have a very good crisis manager on our hands. Fingers crossed people will get off his back and he continues being careful. |

I just can't understand how someone could be so drunk, they acuse their partner of domestic abuse. Have you ever got in that state? Have you ever known someone to get in that state? (Apart from GB). It's pretty mentally deranged behaviour, hence the bunny boiler comment. I've not been in that state myself, however, I have known of somebody who accused her partner of domestic abuse in a fit of rage. I also have a relative who banged her face against a door post, and then phoned the police to say that her teenage son had hit her - she was known to enjoy a glass of wine. Also know a lady who had the odd ding dong with her partner, then both would be in separate rooms, phoning the police to make a complaint against the other. DV can be a minefield, only the Bartons (and the other couple) know exactly how these events panned out. I hope that the family can now move on, and put whatever happened behind them, I understand that JB has abstained from alcohol and hopefully Mrs B is also being moderate, as excess doesn't seem to be dealt with very well. Truly shocked by this. |

Its done and dusted time to move on Whilst I agree with you about moving on, it’s a bit late to start worrying about people “hurling insults at each other”, it’s been happening since JB’s appointment. Hasn’t it? And, tbh, it’s actually got better since promotion hasn’t it? Most accept JB as manager now, football wise, and those that don’t have been driven off. Presumably if it does get bad the mods will act accordingly, just as they do on other threads. UTG! |

To explain: If you beat your wife, you’d run a mile if she reported you to the police. If you are going to compare then presumably you keep all the circumstances because it looked like you blamed the wife (GB) for doing what anyone would hopefully do if they had been attacked. You were sounding like excusing what happened and making the responsibility hers. I’m sure you didn’t mean to imply that. Im sure you can’t be compared to this situation (whatever) happened.
