Content removed from thread whist we decide what to do with it. Meanwhile going to reopen the thread for civilised discussion. Would appreciate if said content is left to lie here on in without further discussion - we’re reviewing it as a moderating team thus action is being taken. Can you hand it over to the forum owner and let them decide what to do? I have taken the decision out of the Moderation teams hands and have permanently banned Pirate from Gaschat. While I firmly believe they would have come to the same decision, I decided (after a short period of reflection) that as Admin for this site I would take responsibility and act accordingly. Very brave, she faces up to 5 years under one law or perhaps up to 15 years under another. Thankfully she seems to be part of a growing band, however it may be not enough. I did watch an interview with a Ukrainian refugees talking to Fergal Keene on the BBC the other day. She is from a Russian family and explained what her Russia based sister told her, she said that Putin is rescuing them from their fascist government. Her response was no, they are not welcome and they are bombing and killing. Her sister refused to believe her over Putin and she is now ostracised. |

You can get all sorts of graphic content on TV or the internet, that doesn’t mean it’s acceptable to post on here. This is a Bristol Rovers fans forum - the gore coupled with the conspiracies that justify Putin murdering civilians is a step too far. |

I'm sure someone posted something once that he has some form of mental disability so I have sympathised with some of his nonsese for a while but im not sure he understands the seriousness of whats going on at the moment.

I'm sure someone posted something once that he has some form of mental disability so I have sympathised with some of his nonsese for a while but im not sure he understands the seriousness of whats going on at the moment. That was oldie being mean saying pirate must be mental? Banning him says more about the forum than pirate as a poster imo. Can't ban people you don't agree with and posting gore is more an innocent mistake really isn't it. |

And from a poster who obviously knows his way around copying links, there's no way that was an innocent mistake. |

When sensible people tried (like Stuart) to engage, ask a genuine question, Pirate ignored the question and just posted up another stream of links, usually Twitter links. I believe I asked the question rather than asserted a position on his/her health. Either way I personally felt uncomfortable reading what he posts. Or did. It was a constant stream of conspiracy theories, without personal thought or reflection. That must be hard work, so what drives that? |
