As an aside, do those club statements even get proof-read? Christ.

Saudi Arabia to Jordan. Could be a lucrative market for us!

Seems a bit of a strange signing IMO, as we have good options in midfield anyway? However, if JB feels he'll add value, fair enough and fingers crossed he does well.
Regarding the proof reading, I agree neilv. Honestly if the news gets published 5 minutes later to allow for a couple of read-throughs, who cares? Surely that's better than putting out articles littered with errors? Not that it matters in the grand scheme of things obviously, but if we want to be improving our professional image as a club, these things have to be better.

Welcome to the Gas, Elliot! Still it could be a future quiz question. Which Rovers player made his Prem debut for Newcastle against Newcastle. Even Mike Jay would struggle. I guess he first played in the FA cup/league and then made his Prem debut against the same side.

Reading the tweets on Elliott’s Twitter page the Newcastle fans rate him highly & are saying we got a real talent on our hands. Got to admit JB’s loan signings have been top notch when you consider the performances of Taylor & Thomas recently, looking forward to seeing the new lad play, even though the radio Bristol commenters might not be so happy as we already got a Anderson & an Anderton in the building.

Their owners intend buying a team to win the prem what is the chance of young talent making it there, same as Man city very small chance.

Surprised he's dropped to this level. Excellent prospect. Welcome to the Gas Elliot! If he comes to us he wil become part of the first team squad and probably get good game time.He willexperience the more physical aspects of the game and learn from experienced midfield players such as Barton, Finlay and and Whelan. If he goes to a higher Legaue he may well find himself on the bench- the same as Newcastle.

Like it’s been said surprised he has dropped to this level, but then I suppose It’s all about game time and hopefully he will get the chance to shine in the quarters

Could easily have gone on loan to higher division it appears, looks like the Barton factor came into play here with the coaching team at Magpies (Ameobi /Given) thinking Joey will progress him. An interesting signing and could be exciting.
Welcome Elliot and good luck.

I would agree with you if Sam Finley is available for every game but sadly that is not the case . The reality is that we look much better when Sam plays as he carries the ball from defence through to attack and is the box to box midfielder . Anthony Evans fills in when Sam is not available but that is not his natural game and reduces his effectiveness. We don’t know how well this lad will adapt to the physical rigours of League 2 but obviously Jb feels that he is worth the slight gamble if it means that we have cover in such a vital part of our team. do I expect him to start every game - No - but I said that about Connor Taylor - a good signing
