I saw the Oncologist today, and the latest scan shows that all the cancer has gone - I'VE BEATEN IT!!! Of course, being incurable cancer it may well re-grow. There are cells stuck to the bone and a main artery. which they couldn't remove, but they're dormant and giving normal readings. I'm not dwelling on that, if it happens, I'll just have to kick ass again.  I'll be having check ups every 3 months, so am in excellent hands. I want to say a HUGE THANK YOU to everybody on here for your kindness and support, you have no idea how much it means, to me, and also my family. The Rovers promotion team also inpired me, they showed that the impossible was in fact possible, and I hung on to that during the darker times. If I could, I'd go into the dressing room and give each and every one of them a massive "thank you" hug. Let's have The Mem rocking tomorrow night (even the South West Stand) - and 3 points to finish off a perfect 48 hours for me! Love y'all. P.S. - maybe a mod could add "update" to the thread title? Absolutely fantastic news Tilly! Wow, what an end to what I am sure has been a difficult year for you 💙 so much love and hugs your way (even if it's not changing room hugs!). Tilly, I don’t know you, but am so pleased for you, your good news gave me goosebumps. Here hoping for good news for everyone that is currently suffering from ill health. Once again , we’ll done, I’m sure positivity plays it’s part.

Great news for Tilly really pleased for her.
After my third surgery for removal of cancerous tumour on my liver on 29 November I am too recovering with fantastic recent news from my surgeon at the Bristol Royal infirmary that the operation was a complete success and I too am cancer free!
Surgeon says no lifting or driving for 6 weeks and scan in February. As fixtures have fallen nicely just missed two home matches Posh and MK Dons Cup tie. Thankfully saw both on ifollow.
I am certainly walking better last few days and trying to attend tonight's Exeter City match and new years day Cheltenham and just ordered my Plymouth cup ticket for 10 January. So just missed 16 home matches since 1 April 1967. Looking forward to a healthy 2023.

Congratulations Tilly and Mike.
Cancer took my Mum and ten years later it was deja Vu for my Dad his girlfriend (doesn't seem right to say that when a couple are in their 80's) passed away with the same disease during covid.
Have said it before but Alfie, Rodders, the Community Trust and the Gas Girls were fking immense for my Dad during that really tough time when people could only see family through a window.
