Great news for Tilly really pleased for her. After my third surgery for removal of cancerous tumour on my liver on 29 November I am too recovering with fantastic recent news from my surgeon at the Bristol Royal infirmary that the operation was a complete success and I too am cancer free! Surgeon says no lifting or driving for 6 weeks and scan in February. As fixtures have fallen nicely just missed two home matches Posh and MK Dons Cup tie. Thankfully saw both on ifollow. I am certainly walking better last few days and trying to attend tonight's Exeter City match and new years day Cheltenham and just ordered my Plymouth cup ticket for 10 January. So just missed 16 home matches since 1 April 1967. Looking forward to a healthy 2023. Great news herbert. Good to hear, look after yourself. UTG!

So, so happy ta hear this, it’s made my day, none of us will really know what you’ve been through it must have been so scary but now th storm is over you probably won't remember how you made it through Tilly, how you managed ta survive. You couldn’t even be sure in fact, whether th storm ever was gonna be really over at times. But one thing is certain, now you come out of th storm you won't be th same person who walked in.
That's what storm's are all about. They’re a test. You’re a hero. Bless you.

LONG MAY IT CONTINUE, it used to be 5 years before they final scan, for them to say you were free of this awful disease. Thank god for the wonderful doctors and nurses. Great news for you

That's what storm's are all about. They’re a test. You’re a hero. Bless you. Big Jock, you are so spot on. Although not cancer, i have as deadly a disease and i can tell you, i crapped myself when I found out what it really was and even what the treatment can do. You need to stay positive, even in the darkest of times. It took a kid of 7 years old to make me man up as he told me only girls cry and to wash my face and stop moaning, he has been having chemo from 3 years old for AML. I will never be free of it but they have slowed it right down. Having positive people around is a massive boost too. You soon stop feeling sorry for yourself when you see just born babies, start chemo. That is just so screwed up that you stop thinking of your own stuff. Brilliant news Tilly, long may your remission continue

Massive well done coming at ya Tilly, you fought a hard battle and kicked the bastard of a disease down the road, amazing, I bet your son is mighty proud of you as you should be of yourself. Enjoy celebrating and I hope it starts with 3 points tonight.

Luckily, my operation was scheduled for the end of May, so close season - I was able to have my first outing on 1st July, to the Melksham friendly, great timing eh! I hope your recovery cracks on at a good pace, take it steady and follow Doctor's orders - it's frustrating, but a case of having to play the long game, as I'm sure you know from your previous surgeries. Long may we both continue to be free from the dreaded C, take care.
