I quite liked Hanlan.
He got flogged to death and made a scapegoat in a terrible team assembled by Garner & Tisdale.
He's not a natural Goalscorer by any means, but the stick he got was unfair imo.
Aaron Collins was worse for the 1st half of this season, didn't get his 1st league goal until December but then ended it brilliantly in a far better team than Hanlan had around him

I'd be propa fumin if I was a Swindon fan š what a knob Mckirdy is! How cna you take a penalty like that and be smiling and laughing. Dickhead! A picture on McKirdy's instagram with loads of Luton players. Possible summer move?

Just highlights that if you know what had ended differently at Wembley, we could be involved in these proceedings, but it didn't and here we are, i have no great leanings either way on this one, feel for Grimsby as they were badly let down when Ollie went there, don't know whose fault it was but certainly not the fans, and County , oldest club and all that , bit like us with noisy neighbours ( and may be about to get even noisier with Forest in final) and need to close the gap.

Probably like County to win (and maybe go up). Still one of my favourite away venues to visit. Will be very interesting to see what happens if Wrexham dont go up this year.

Yes I agree with much of that about Hanlan. But I do take issue about āthe terrible team assembled by ....Tisdale.ā Tbf he didnāt assemble anything, I thought that was part of the problem, he wasted a transfer window for whatever reasons by not recruiting. UTG!

UTG! The overwhelming majority were brought in by Garner of course, but Tisdale brought in George Williams and also Joe Day I believe wasn't it? So he brought in an average Right Back and a Reserve keeper when we all know we needed goals. He is still culpable imo. Joey Barton didn't just lay into Ben Garner when he made his 'Negligence' quote, Tisdale got it full whack as well. Think it was also Tisdale who was considering taking legal action about the comments. So he's definitely to blame as well imo

So he's definitely to blame as well imo Tisdale only seemed interested in brining in players he had worked with before which showed what a dinosaur of a manager he had become and continued to be after he left us. Although to be fair, George Williams wasn't that bad and would have been decent in league two. Out of all the players JB got rid of (excluding the ones like Hanlan who wanted to leave) I think the only one who would have been worth keeping was Ali Koiki who played 42 times for Northampton this season. None of the others have done anything worth talking about (expect getting relegated again!)

Just realised that Grimsby's win last night only qualifies them to play Wrexham away in a SEMI-FINAL, tough or not?!

They play Wrexham away and then, if they win, have a final (against Solihull Moors or Chesterfield or Halifax ā¦ I think), which will be at a neutral venue but not sure itās Wembley. So glad we got out when we did!

So glad we got out when we did! Both quarter and semi final away? That's harsh. Its a bit of a strange play off system now where 4th plays 7th and 5th plays 6th in a one leg quarter final. Then the winner of those play away to 2nd and 3rd in a semi final before the final. So if you finish in the last two play off spots (6th or 7th) you would have to win two away games just to get to the final.

Pleased for DC and even more pleased Garner missed out. I donāt understand this hatred for Garner as he was given a brief that meant using and bringing on young players with a very restricted budget plus he was stuck there with those that everyone is glad the club got rid of, in Widdrington ( who seems to have been the key part in it ) he also had some very stressful stuff go on while with us. Donāt get me wrong, there is certainly no love in happening here but i say live and let live. Personally i didnāt think he would be seen in a managers role again but he got very lucky that he found a club that was desperate for someone. I will never ever have any kind of like for Swindle but we have all moved on now, or most have , anyway
