Next manager odds are often quite volatile. So it only takes one decent sized bet to really shift the market. Then more jump on it thinking there is something to it.

And may well be the case. Joey's odds came down for our job quite a bit then he got it. You just don't really know (unless you're in the know)

As articulate as this post was; it does sometimes help when dismissing someone's opinion as nonsense to offer some justification as to why you think that is. It helps for the original poster to then address your argument with a counter argument or, ultimately, concede to your point.

Wael stuck by him after relegation from L1 and when we were struggling in the opening months of the season, so I hope stays and repays the faith shown in him.
Obviously, if he were offered the Burnley job it would be hard to turn down but he's said numerous times promotion is just the start and he wants to achieve so much more at Rovers.
Hopefully, that's the case because I feel we've never been better placed to kick on as a club but we need to keep our management team in place.
I think Wael should sit down with JB, start negotiating a new contract and reassure him he'll have the financial backing to be successful in L1.

It’s bizarre that’s he’s now 1/1, but more accomplished and available managers are at much bigger odds.
Might wack £10 on Nigel Pearson at 40/1

If someone has an opinion that is slightly opposed to that of the Barton cult fans they just dismiss it out of hand. I'm surprised you haven't been called a 'ted or a keyboard warrior - they're the ones usually aimed at me. I can see how this job would be appealing. Plus he's (at best) evened out the damage he did here, inspiring us to a 24th place finish with such a whimper, so he could leave and we're no worse off than when we arrived.

Whilst I am sure Burnley are considering candidates, for both scenarios (Premier League or Championship) I doubt they are talking to anyway yet or will be approaching anyone until they know their fate.
If they stay up then they will be able to attract a much higher caliber of a manager.

Like him or loathe him the club has just played the best football I’ve ever seen and won promotion in one of the the most dramatic fashions The history of football has ever seen. The club is better ran and more professional now off the field than it’s ever been in it’s history. So using the word nonsense for still wanting him to leave or not being bothered either way is 100% the correct term to use. Long may he stay at our club and have us watch the football we have just watched and the atmosphere home and away. Enjoy it while it lasts as he will move onto a much bigger club than the gas before too long.

I don't like the thought of people having to choose between eating or heating their home - but I can't call it nonsense as it's happening. Not sure you can credit Barton with the work Wael & Gorringe do to improve our more professional off-the-field stuff either.

Which therefore becomes an argument.

Hopefully Wael is on the phone to Joey and planning for next season in league 1.
Will be disappointed if Joey was to leave after Wael backed him enough to make him Manager and then keep him on after a poor start to the season.
Afraid if Joey left he won't be afforded the same patience. Doesn't want to peak to soon by jumping at first job higher up when he is still quite a young manager.

I’m 100% sure Barton can be credited with the recruitment of all his back room staff and the massive shift in improvement in training , diet, and all the schematics of being a successful football team aside from the business on the pitch. Ask any player.

All probably nonsense aimed at putting money in betting firms massive pockets, but Burnley (for all the reasons stated) would be a big pull for him. Personally, I still think there is nothing in it and Joey will be excited about building a team on the back of this awesome one to compete in L1.
