On behalf of the Supporters Club and, at this moment of enormous sadness, I would like to express my enormous thanks to Queen Elizabeth II, for her service to the country throughout her 70 year reign. She has affected all of our lives and will be missed.

The first PM to serve Queen Elizabeth II was Winston Churchill,he was born in 1874.
The latest PM,Liz Truss,was born in 1975.
101 years difference.
Quite remarkable.

Personally I’m a bit gutted. I don’t really care either way about the royal family in general, it’s nice to have some tradition I guess. But the Queen I’ve always loved and respected.
She is the UK really isn’t she? If there’s anyone to personify the UK it’s her.
Somehow it feels like I’m losing a grandmother tbh. Can’t imagine the change of anthem either, it’ll always be Liz for me.

Carried out her duties with dignity, right to the end. The only Monarch in my lifetime, and I don't think we'll see another one like her. RIP
Would be nice if this thread could be kept for messages of respect, however people may wish to express themselves.

An absolutely amazing woman, I simply cannot imagine the country without her.
Service and faithfulness matter at every level, the whole world will do well to follow her example.
I'm smiling and crying in equal measure and mot embarrassed by either.
