Well, yeah. There's a wider argument about racism here, but I agree his behaviour whilst pi$$ed on arrest was disgusting. The timing of the tweet was attention seeking, he's now experiencing another form of attention and probably regrets it. There is a point in there though about racism, which he has likely experienced himself, and how it is embedded in our establishment I suppose then that both you and GasGoMarchingIn are correct. Sinclair is correct, the Palace is racist and have done nothing to improve things. He is also a knob. Probably a fair summary 👍

Didn't vote for Truss either. Indeed. But at least the Tories are in power as a result of a democratic vote. Personally, I am able to accept that, but nothing else.

A flawed and rigged voting system perpetrated by the big two. Until we get proportional representation it will not really be democracy.

Couple of thoughts: Westminster is a "controlled area" and under the new law even one person protests can get moved on. You recall those who thought it wouldn't be an issue or restrict our freedoms. This could have been done elsewhere without the involvement of the Police, was this done knowing she would be moved on? Timing is poor. Even the PM of Australia said he won't hold a referendum yet out of respect. There will be a lot of people upset by this which could cause a commotion getting out of hand. As I've said before, there is a time and place to discuss these matters, I would have hoped people would have the decency to at least wait until after the funeral before they staged these types of demos otherwise they could lose some support. Personally I think she shouldn't have been moved on and allowed her say, but I do have my suspicions as to her motives. I've become too cynical these days. 🧐

It'll probably drop lower now, not sure there is an appetite for change yet though and if there is a referendum at some point, can we please agree on what follows first. I'm sure we've learnt from Brexit not to give carte blanche to politicians. 😶

Speaking to my age group (nearly dead) we are heartily watered off with the wall to wall, repetitive, coverage since Friday. As I said previously, with her passing the ballast may well be removed from the system of monarchy. Let's hope so.

I can fully understand that. moving a person on, who appears to have been peaceful and co-operative with the police strikes me as a great example of the very dangerous use of power the Police have

I’ll miss you your majesty. A quite incredible woman. Rest in peace. How fitting that Scotland is playing such a huge part in the ceremonies surrounding H.M death, i am sure she would not have had it any other way, Scotland, probably her favourite part of UK, has done her proud. Thank you.

Keep them but stop paying them. The Queen was one of the richest women in the world, all the while sticking her hand out for tax payers money. Charles is now one of the richest men in the world and William is said to have taken over a multi billion slice of the family pie.

We don't really pay them, the Sovereign Grant is to cover the expenses of being Head of State, that would remain regardless. Remain and reform, now where did I see that before?? 😇
