Apologies, for new thread but I was wondering if the club still have 52% of people open to change following the latest consultation email where the frankly god-awful suggestions have been put forward.
This needs stopping now.

As another poster said on the other thread, fairly sure they aren’t the actual badge proposals. More like, do you want something related to A, B or C etc…

I was, and still would be, open to minor tweaks to the current badge - font, the 1883 gold flag-thing (legit don't know what that's called???) and minor aspects of the pirate itself. That said, wholesale changes are a 'no' in my view and the design options offered up - whether actual potential representations of an alternative or simply design 'ideas' - are, frankly, abysmal.
I will still be happy to judge and vote on a final badge idea if the club offer up such an option but I hope it's in the form of "this new badge or keep the current/old badge". If it ain't broke...

Could they not have commissioned a proper design agency to draw up some mock-ups or prototypes? What I’ve seen so far looks like clip art from MS word, absolutely ridiculous. Typical tinpot Rovers.

They are cleverly worded questions - are you open to a change of badge shape? Are you open to a change of badge content? Most people do not have closed minds and so the answers to both of those, as long as they are relevant to Rovers would be yes. Do you want a change or feel the club needs to change ? The answer is probably no. If only 52 % are even open to change then that suggests 48% of the fans they asked are not. Add to that all those that are open to change but don’t really feel the need or want that change and that’s more than half of the people they asked. Thanks very much for bringing this opportunity to our attention, don’t waste any more time or money on it and concentrate on other issues that more materially benefit the fan experience than the logo on the shirt.

I agree. I think they've decided to change the badge and want it done through lack of objection rather than a positive wish to change it. Hence the passive sort of questions. Not 'Do you want to change the badge?', but 'Would you object to proposals to change it?' It's a bit like a planning application. They'll put forward all sorts of stuff that everyone knows no-one will like, and then come up with something better that people will then not object to as strongly. Then they can say that the fans like the new design more than other proposals. And bingo, we've changed it. |

I didn’t like any of them and hope we keep the current badge but I’m fairly sure they were just feelers for thematic concepts that could be incorporated in any new design, rather than first drafts of a new badges, which some on here have mistaken them to be.

Has anyone thought how the badge could include a reference to "The Gas" which is what we call ourselves and are universally known as ? Neither a gasometer or a mask seem like a good idea.
