By election today, in the meantime the government have partially reversed a Cameron cut, not that they would admit it.
"The government has announced £300m for "family hubs" to help parents with infant feeding, mental health and relationship building.
The programme will aim to benefit 75 areas up to 2025, with hubs offering support from conception through to age 19, or up to 25 for children with special educational needs and disabilities.
They will act as a "one-stop shop" for guidance and advice on issues including infant feeding, mental health support, health visits and parenting classes.
But some say this is a return - and expansion - of the Sure Start centres introduced under Labour prime minister Tony Blair, which were phased out after 2010 when the Conservatives came to power."

"Former culture secretary Nadine Dorries has announced she is standing down as an MP at the next general election, blaming the "sheer stupidity" of her colleagues who "got rid of Boris Johnson".
The Conservative MP for Mid Bedfordshire fought back tears as she delivered the news on her TalkTV show, saying the decision had followed "much soul-searching"."

I suppose the message isn't as exciting. Encourage opportunities for all/develop equitable tax system/invest in public services ....versus.... Sent the immigrant boats back!!!!/leave the EU!!!!!/stop benefit fraudsters!!!! |
