I assume the stand passed the test as the 2 blocks from last night are for sale for this Saturday.

I think I read they need to have multiple test events. so fingers crossed this weekend is one more step towards getting it opened.

I just meant that if there were major issues the 2nd test event could have been withdrawn. I noticed less of a shadow across the penalty box

View so much better and you get to see the other end of the pitch. Loads of leg room and a pa system that works. I never thought I would hear this said about the Mem! 😂

Please get some photos of the concourse and views those in the central blocks tonight! Also, isn’t Brunel the sponsor of the old stand, probably get renewed in the summer with something else? Did take a photo of the concourse last night, but no idea how to post it on here. Any guidance appreciated. It’s just an empty space at the moment, no sign of any toilet blocks. There are however some extra food outlets etc outside on the west side, although only one was open last night. Is there even a plan to have toilet blocks or bars / food stalls?

I mean you’d hope so if it’s going to house 3,500 souls🙃

What is the minimum width the walkway needs to be for safety ? I guess if you had people queing for food and hanging around in there to keep warm there would not be a lot to spare. Lots of away grounds seem very crowded under the stand pre game and at half time.

Yes on the original drawings toilet blocks in the concourse for home and away supporters and food outlets as well from memory. As it was last night all supporters in South and South west stands and West Enclosure having to use the old toilets under the West stand.

Thinking further back the clubs statement announcing the new stand mentioned the concourse facilities.

Needs some loos sooner rather than later as the half time queue for the West Enclosure bogs was a hell of a lot longer than usual. And with my 57 year old bladder…

Standing mid way on the West Terrace I was impressed by the noise coming from the new stand, dare I say it, that they even outdid Thatchers at times. Disappointing result but hey we are on the up

Great view, I was a third of the way back. I imagine the view was even better further back/up
When full, the pillars will impact some seats but overall very impressive
The atmosphere was good and when full will improve the stadium atmosphere without a doubt
Underneath plenty of room to include eateries, bars & toilets and pre- match and at half time I can imagine it absolutely bouncing
I think I’ve found my new home

Good to read positive posts on the new stand, just wish the club would offer a family pricing package now there are more seats available to offer, will be interesting to see the uptake for that area Saturday.

Looks like an additional 3rd block of the stand on sale for the Exeter game next week. Hope we beat Blackpool so we fill a bit of it!
