Love to know what the plan for the east stand is and if it links onto the ugly gap in the new south stand.
Only thing we have to be interested and excited by cause what's happening on the pitch isn't a thrill to witness.

Wasn’t there meant to be a disabled section in the new south stand at the bottom left corner? What happened to that?

Sat in the south stand for the 1st time today and got to say well impressed with the set up Sat in block G and all bar the pillars a good decent view. Will most probably go for a season ticket in here next season. UTG 👍🏻 Me too. The stand itself was good but there only seemed to be one food/hot drink outlet serving the South and West stands and the queue at half time was ridiculous. Also tried to wash my hands in the new toilets and there was no hot water and barely a trickle of cold

There are supposed to be two, one at the end of the South West nearest the West Stand, one at the end of the South Stand nearest the East. Having said that they are not part of the stand and will be built in front of what's currently there - and that area is obviously not finished as we're still waiting on other things like advertising boards.

Anyone thinking any further substantial work will be done on the Mem is delusional. All words, nothing more.
Any plans? Discussions? Brainstorming from the powers that be? Thought not.
I guarantee, 3 years from now (if we're still around) there will still be no tangible upgrade whatsoever.

If you had an asset that wasn't being fully used, would you: a) buy more capacity b) sweat the asset for a couple of years

Any upgrade would be closely aligned to our progress on the pitch anyway. If we put together a side that encourages sales, we would more likely look at improvements. If we don't and struggle through 24/25, then your guarantee has more chance of being safe.

If that adds up, it'll get done. If not, it won't.

I dont think you will get any additional revenue into that site based on where it is and what it is close to. So a hotel (why would you have a hotel there) or a student flat scheme (the most obvious) would be an acceptable development. You could probably build it behing the existing stand, or at least the main structure of it and still continue to use that side of the ground whilst it was being constructed.

If we are unable to fill the south stand to the extent that some fans suggest we give more of it to away fans there seems no requirement for more seats at the club. May as well shelve the east and north stand pkans for a good few years.

If you are wanting to project something attractive to entice new supporters the you have to have better facilities. If we built an all seater east stand with an extra 2 or 3 K seats i think you may not see sell outs but you would get more people in than you do now. It would be about growing the club and bringing it in to this century.

My thoughts on the new stand after my first game sat in it for the Burton game. Clearly still some work required to complete it. At the entrances to the stairways the voids under the stand presently screened by canvas. Clearly solid partitions should be put in place. No problem with the seating areas and views despite the steelwork pillars obstructing slightly. Good atmosphere, if the team would have performed better this would no doubt be quite a noisy area. As regards the concourse under the stand, clearly plenty of room to move the outside kiosks and toilets as plans under here. Perhaps will be done in the close season. The two new kiosks outside against the fence were open, one as a bar and the other selling chocolate bars and soft drinks( not clear to me what else they were selling. The outside catering burger van was again in attendance. The existing outside toilets look to be very temporary indeed, perched on bits of wood etc etc and there is still temporary fencing in the concourse against the back wall cladding where I assume the toilets etc will be as plan next season. After all on a wet day why on earth would you expect people to queue for food, drink and toilets outside in the open when they have paid to sit under cover in the stand. No way is crowding an issue for this area, there will be plenty of space for the kiosks toilets etc as well as the fans.

Sounds like typical Rovers, as why do the job properly when you can bodge it and save a few ÂŁ's?

I'm almost dreading seeing the plans for the extensions to the East Stand.
I hope it'll be fine and the owners will have realised a proper modern stand is needed to attract fans and generate lots of extra match- and non-match day revenue.
I fear it'll be knocked up either side with pillars, canvas and supporting poles, and will match the existing stand in the way that chalk matches cheese.
