Nailsworth Village Green's ground would probably be a better and more realistic option than Rodney Parade, if we were looking at temporary locations, though I suspect this is all twaddle. Hope not, they’ve never been very hospitable when we’ve been in town. The local Pubs normally close and board the windows up like we’re done Viking invaders!

FGRs ground is a dive. No thanks.

Cheltenham seems sensible, not S.Wales or Swindon.....but that's down to BRFC and the generosity of any clubs within a 45 minute drive...... Although it's not possible I'd love to go back to Twerton if it's just for 1 season

Wael responsible for the South Stand then
17:10mins: "I actually did manage to get one whole stand, the South Stand built. It's a new stand...and the plans are with the new partner to develop the rest of the stadium"
Another interesting quote was his belief (35:50mins) that "In the lower leagues you don't need a director of football", despite him appointing one and the club making a big deal about appointing one again recently.
Nice to hear from Wael, just a bit disappointing it was on a Reading FC podcast and not talking directly to Bristol Rovers fans. Can't really remember the last time we heard from him? 🤷🏻♂️

Couldn't believe he put a good word in for Barton in the interview. Gives the impression he would have kept him warts and all.

Can we not turn every thread into a Barton discussion?
It’s quite impressive how that’s happened in a thread about the south stand

Does he even still attend any of our games? Although how can he advise Reading how to run a successful L1 club anyway, he's hardly DMc.

I was told at the time Wael was responsible for the Taylor appointment, so maybe the co-owner is still more involved than you think.

In the video he actually joked about being scared of Joe. The real joke being he actually was.

I've mentioned previously that Taylor might be the football manager version of a 'transitional shag'. The one that makes you realise there is a future but not necessarily the one you want a future with. Those still harping on about JB, like it or not are going through the 5 stages of grief process and are somewhere between stage 3 or 4. I don't think they will get to stage 5 under MT as they see him as the 'other man/woman' that took away their love.

That promotion run will last long in the memory tbh It's baffling why he's hated so much by certain posters, you do wonder if we'll ever see players like AC, Evo, EA, Vale, Quansah and Brogarde play for Rovers again anytime soon as that's probably the best part of £100m worth of talent.
