We played some of our best football of recent times under JB. That promotion run will last long in the memory tbh It's baffling why he's hated so much by certain posters, you do wonder if we'll ever see players like AC, Evo, EA, Vale, Quansah and Brogarde play for Rovers again anytime soon as that's probably the best part of £100m worth of talent. I can understand why some on here don't like him because of his off the field antics but there are also loads on here that does like him and appreciate what a good manager he actually was. Only other manager in recent years who had as much passion was Holloway

The hatred is understandable, but for me if we're playing well I don't really care who's in charge or what baggage they carry. Maybe that would change though with his twitter rants post sacking!

This concept of playing well was for a very small period of his tenure. From mid Jan to the end of the season in league 2. So, what you are saying is that you are happy when Rovers play good football in league 2 for less than half the season?

He wasn't a good manager, he achieved promotion from League 2 with probably the highest budget in that league. We only played for half a season and were bloody lucky to get EA. More by luck that anything else. Have a look atvhis win % over his time in charge. Is that really acceptable to you?

And? Let's look at that league 2 table? Which managers had more points and better results?

Why rewrite history just to try and prove your point, we played well, by Rovers usual standards, until around December in our first season back in L1, when AC was the best striker in L1 and won the player of the year award.
It would be interesting to know what seemingly went wrong around the turn of that year, as we don't seem to have recovered even now.

So even by your own admission in three years in charge, we played well for less than a season. Just be honest, how many time did you get bored with the constant passing it around from defender to keeper, back to defender back to kee oh sh.it the opposition have closed us down and scored...again.

You have failed to mention he got them to the playoffs by finishing 6th on ppg in the Covid interrupted season where they were beaten by Wycombe in the semi final.

Anybody would think we're Liverpool or Man C, use to year after year of success, when it truth we probably have one good year for every five bad ones. I enjoyed the spell under JB if you didn't then it must be a few years since you did enjoy watching Rovers, as the last couple(?) of DC's were dismal, the spell under GC hardly the best to watch and the spell under BG/PT best forgotten, add last season and the start to this season and your almost hitting a decade of pain!!

And the last game at home 7 (Seven) - nil. What a time to be alive! Also no one really complains about the conference season, watering it up the league under DC

Just looking at the financial figures for Fleetwoods year ending 2020. Turnover (sales) £4.4m Wages costs £7.1m Blimey!
