4000 in south stand, that pitch will have to be moved towards the thatchers, tv will have to go along with the pylon lights to get that in

This is a big investment and needed a plan that showed we had the appetite for that many more fans to attend games. But we feel confident we’ve answered our own questions when it comes to that, and what we can see as a return on the investment.
“Retro fitting this means that we have to consider existing floodlights, the location of our big screen and the need for more services and facilities, so you end up working with a number of outside agents, on one single project.”
It sounds like the plans are far more advanced than we anticipated from TG's recent programme notes?

I can't see that a 4 k stand would get through planning with no objections from the residents behind. Cue a drawn out process or a scale back in size to compromise.

Go to Ashton and see the size of the stands hanging over houses. I couldn't believe how far they went. Ours is chickens feed in comparison !. |

It could be possible. I mean, there’s a fairly big space between the current pitch and the blackthorn end that could be moved back a bit to make more room for a south stand.

That's some improvement if realised. If Wael pulls this off and The Quarters Phase 2 gets completed then he's done good regardless of the FM.

No idea how planning works but I'd have thought the pp we previously got for the Mem would work in our favour? Hopefully somebody has already spoken to the planners in order to see what is likely to get approved. |

Further confirmation, if any were needed, that the Mem is being redeveloped, probably in the absence of any other plans. If you only have one remaining plan, apart from doing nothing, then you go with that plan, even if some of your spokespersons have said it's a non-starter. Look forward to the denial any such thing was ever said.....
4,000 sounds great, if it can be done and if it happens. Fingers crossed.

Quite agree, besides removing the temporary stands it will increase the capacity up to a more reasonable level & moving the pitch towards the Thatchers should also improve the match day atmosphere, |

Fk.me 4,000 that’s going to be cramped…It will be worse than Luton, where you need to dislocate your hip to get into the seat.
2300 tops, similar to Bournemouths temp stand.

That’s 1800 seats at a guess ? filling in the corner with a wrap around stand adds a couple of hundred and extended it to along where the big screen is is another 500 ? Add another 6-8 rows of seats all around adds 1200 ish ? Totally back off fag ( guesses ) . Does this add up ? |
