Exactly. Phew! We’re lucky none of our fans are like that. 😉 And you’re right it was funny but because it was aimed at us, we couldn’t see the humour. Take us out of it and we’d have thought it was funny. Still, all’s well that ends well. 👍 UTG! I could see the funny side of it, part of the humour in football. I've heard that the chap with the sign was quite good at taking any ribbing, when Yeovil dropped out of the league Think he should reenact it with a 2nd sign. 'That aged well.' Sounds like he's had to laugh it off a few times

Deadline of Monday to find £100,000 or Yeovil face administration?
Also to quote the following 'dire straights' article - "with rent to the council kicking in next season at the rate of £14,000 per month and Global247news having the club’s full accounts and financial breakdowns at hand, the current business looks totally unviable to be able to operate unless a heavy investment comes forward."

Thanks for the info pirate. It’s going to get a lot worse by the sounds of it. Although ripping it up and starting again may be in Yeovil’s interest, ultimately. I suppose the worry at the moment is the possibility of Priestnall still being around with his links to the ground. A bit of a mess!!
UTG!

Bit apparently will be paid next week: "The transaction for the sale and purchase of the club has not been completed, but the staff will be paid on Tuesday irrespective of a transaction being concluded or not."

You'd hope that any supporter of any club would think the same of any team. With one obvious exception 😉 They did, in 1982. The FA had to change the rules to stop any club from doing that method again.

Very much reminds me of the story of Icarus. Hopefully Nailsworth will follow them back into the abyss. I don’t have any ill feeling for FGR. Unlike Yeovil their fans have never taken the pi5s out of us or proclaimed they are the future and us the past. In fact many FGR fans actually like the gas which is strange considering our two catchment areas are bordering each other. I wonder if Yeovil fans gave it large to the Sh1!heads in the one season they were a division higher than them? I was also totally indifferent about Nailsworth prior to the behaviour of a few creatures wearing their shirts at the Mem last season as we were leaving the ground, now I wish them every misfortune.

Never liked Yeovil, and I feel nothing at their demise. I personally have more respect for Cheltenham Town.

NLS a now looks even more interesting. Weymouth won today to make it 3 wins and survival in that league. Bath, Yeovil, Taunton, Chippenham, Weston, Torquay and Weymouth. 7 teams, 3 new to that league will make it a fairly local league. (Bit of a stretch to include Chippenham I know…)

I wouldn't call Chippenham a stretch. It's much closer than most of those others and about the same distance from the Mem as Weston is. Speaking as an exile near Chippenham. #justiceforchippenham

Weston looking at 2k crowds quite often next season. Which feels insane but Weston is nearly 100k people, nearly twice the size of Yeovil and also larger than Taunton.

Not sure that Chippenham v Torquay would be classed as a local derby. The others will be. 👍 UTG!

Exciting times for Somerset clubs next season, extending that to other nearby team i.e. Torquay & Weymouth who both have good followings. Last visit from Torquay saw over 1,000 visiting fans in WsM. If the new stand fails to materialise and ticket availability is limited again, I can see myself, hopefully, watching our fringe players & youngsters in NLS
